If you are like me, you probably have thousands of photos on your smartphone. If you are like me, you probably also don’t print them out to put into photo albums. I always have good intentions, and plan to put together some fantastic photo albums, but for some reason, it just never gets done (probably due to lack of time).
A really fun app, Pictyear, has just made my life a whole lot easier!
What is Pictyear? It is an app that allows you to create photo albums with the photos on your phone.

Simple right? It really is. I had a hard time deciding which photos I wanted to use for my themed photo book. I have some beautiful nature shots, so I decided to make an album titled “Nature”.
To add photos to my book, I simply chose the ones I wanted and swiped each into my virtual book. Pictyear kept track of how many photos I had, which helped to determine which book I would order. You can also choose your photos from cloud services that you use (Dropbox, Instagram, etc.). I received the small photo book with 21 photos.
You can choose other sized books as well – it just depends on how many photos you have! Even better is that you can collaborate with friends and family and have them add their photos to the album too. Say you went on a family camping trip and you wanted to preserve the memories with a physical photo album/book. You know aunt Shirley took some awesome photos, and you would like to include them in the photo album. Using the Pictyear app, she can do just that!
The Pictyear app is free and can be downloaded from the iTunes store. You only pay for books you want to order (and their prices are very reasonable!).
You can order your book(s) straight from the app on your phone. Ordering was REALLY easy, and I cannot wait to place my next order. Now my favorite photos won’t be stuck on my phone for only me to see. They can be enjoyed by family and friends for years to come.
