Pincam

Sometimes when I take a video on my iPhone, it is kind of long and boring. I am waiting for something exciting to happen and sometimes it does and sometimes it does not.  Or you have a really long video that you have to watch until the end to get to the good part(s).   I was recently introduced to an app called Pincam, and this is really clever!

Pincam allows you to save the best moments in a video (and it automatically trims out the bad/boring parts) to make film clips and one really fun video! YOU control what clips you want and you do this while you are recording, by “pinning” something that just happened. How cool is that?

I had so much fun playing around with Pincam. Of course, if you know me, then you know that I recorded my kitties. Jake and Lily were in the kitchen one evening and I just taped them meowing at me, really, but I was curious to see how the finished video would look.

There are some really fun filters to play with too, that you can add after you are done recording.

When you have finished your video, you can share it via email, Facebook, etc., so your friends and family can enjoy it too – and they won’t have to watch a long tedious video!

I can see myself using this on a daily basis, especially while I am at our vacation home.  I enjoy the ducks and geese there, and they are quite humorous. Now I will be able to just highlight the great clips and make some fantastic, “to the point” videos!

And finally – it is FREE!  The Pincam iPhone video app is absolutely free!  I have a feeling this is going to become popular very quickly, so you might want to install it now.
