I remember as a child how much I loved, loved, loved the advent calendars that my mom would buy for me each year. It was so hard to wait for Christmas, but with the advent calendar, I was able to open a door each day, to reveal a yummy piece of chocolate.  Each morning when I woke up (and with my mom’s permission), I would hop out of bed to open the door of the day. This is definitely one of my fondest memories – it was the countdown to the big day!
