I hate my natural hair. I know it tends to be common for women with curly hair to want straight hair and vice versa and well, that’s me. My hair is wavy, frizzy, coarse, and thick. All through high school, I was made fun of for “not brushing my hair” because my hair was just so unruly that every day was just kind of a bad hair day! Finally when it came time for senior pictures, my much more fashion-forward younger sister taught me about straightening my hair. She already had pin-straight hair herself so I didn’t even know this was a thing since I never saw her do it! I was so excited to try on this new look and I looked fantastic in my senior photos. This was definitely a new hairstyle I was going to adopt but there was one problem… with my vast amount of thick hair, the process took me over an hour and I’d still have some frizz and puffiness to it. Over the years, I’ve learned that the quality of hair straightener can make a difference in these results. The Paul Mitchell Limited Edition ProTools You’re Golden Express Ion Smooth is one of the best hair straighteners I’ve tried!
Paul Mitchell is among the biggest and best experts in hair, making some of the most well-known and effective salon-quality products and the ProTools You’re Golden Express Ion Smooth is no different. It can heat up to 410° in one minute, smoothing and straightening your hair with ease and professional quality. The temperature actually shows digitally on a screen on the appliance itself, too! The 1.25″ cushioned ceramic plates help the flat iron to glide across your hair, keeping it shiny with smoothing it out. One thing thing I love about the ProTools You’re Golden Express Ion Smooth is that it doesn’t seem to get hot on the outside like so many of my other straighteners have. You have no idea what a blessing that is for a klutz and mother of many handsy babies such as myself!
The rose-colored metallic look of the straightener is really appealing too, plus the matching hairbrush that’s included in the kit. The fact that I’m able to get smooth, soft, shiny straightened hair in half of the time I used to be able to is pretty awesome. I don’t have the time to do my hair all day and if I’m going to spend that time on my look, I want the best results possible! I’m loving Paul Mitchell’s Limited Edition ProTools You’re Golden Express Ion Smooth and I highly recommend for the flat iron lovers out there!

WOW I’d love to try that on my wavy hair! Looks great!
I would love to try this for my hair too, looks good
Fabulous, it’s Paul Mitchell after all!
This flat iron intrigues me, I need a new one and this might be on my wishlist for this christmas.
My hair is quite similar to your “before” picture. I don’t usually straighten it but there are times I want it to be straight. This sounds like a great iron and certainly did a great job with your hair. Nice!
This looks amazing! My girls have wavy hair and try straightening there’s out with their old cheap iron but it just doesn’t work. They need something like this. Yours looks terrific!
I have super curly hair and I have tried many straightening irons and have not found one that can stand up to my nest of curls. I like that this one does not get hot on the outside I have burnt my fingers more times than I want to think about trying to straighten my hair.
I would LOVE that if I was able to afford it however I usually only spurge on my kids and never myself. But I would love for my hair to look like the picture above.
wow what a difference, looks great 🙂
Thanks for sharing a great review. very drastic results.
The before and after pictures are amazing. I have curly hair and there are times when I wish it was straight for sure. I would love to get my hands on that flat iron and give it a try!
