Changing diapers is never fun. I don’t recall a time when I have ever liked it, but much like feeding our babies, it is just one of those things we do. For the first time I have finally seen a product that might make diaper changing time just a little less dreadful – because not only are they practical and functional, they are incredibly cute! I am speaking of adjustable reusable diaper covers by Lictin Co.!
The patterns
Before I go on telling you about the functionality of these diaper covers, I just have to talk about the patterns. They are FRUIT patterns. FRUIT for goodness sake! And they are just about the cutest things I have ever seen.
These diaper covers come in a set of 6, and the set also includes 6 cloth diapers and 2 lightweight zippered carrying cases. When they designed this set, they really thought of everything to make mom (and dad’s) life easier, especially when out and about. The front of the diaper covers features several of each fruit, and the back has one bigger piece of fruit. Can you see the little snaps for adjusting them to size?
I love how the little snaps match the colors of the individual fruits/patterns – they thought of everything!
Sizing
There are just so many things to love about these diapers. One of the best features I think is that unlike other diaper covers, where you need to replace them as baby grows, these will grow with your baby. They are adjustable and will fit three sizes:
Small: (for reference, in a disposable diaper, these would fit size newborn-2, 8-16 lbs.)
Medium: (2-4, 12-28 lbs)
Large: (for babies up to 36 lbs)
Inner layer: suede cloth inside, it does not hold moisture itself, the moisture gets drawn away to the insert to keep your baby dry and comfortable; Outer layer: polyester with waterproof and breathable TPU. It’s convenient to carry baby while taking a walk or doing chores.
A few more details (and reasons to fall in love with these diaper covers):
~ They have crossover and hip snaps to prevent what is called “wing droop”
~ They are breathable, waterproof & washable
~ The diapers are made from comfy cotton, so they are soft and won’t leak
And it goes without saying that some of the best things about using cloth diapers is that they are eco-friendly and they save money. Disposable diapers can be EXPENSIVE! When you purchase these cloth diapers, you will not only get the cloth diapers, but you will get two storage cases and also the fun and “fruity” diaper covers.
What comes in the set?
~ 6 cloth diapers
~ 6 diaper covers
~ 2 storage bags
I really think this is a fantastic price for all that is included in the set. Speaking of great prices, there is an even lower price for the set temporarily, here on Eighty MPH Mom. You will find a discount code below that will take $6.00 off each set you purchase. The holidays are almost here – if you know someone with a little one, or someone who is expecting a little one, this set would be a great gift and much appreciated by the recipient(s)!. And you could cross off a few people from your holiday list!
They have swim diapers too!
In addition to the adorable diaper covers, Lictin Co. also has adjustable swim diapers. I absolutely LOVE that there are swim diapers that are adjustable, since you typically can only use them for a few months per year – it seems silly to have to buy new ones every year. These adjustable swim diapers come in 2-packs and there are two different sets to choose from – one for boys and one for girls. Like the diaper covers, these also come with a storage bag. They even have DIY bibs, which look really fun, as well as other really neat products.
How cute are those?
Final Thoughts
As I mentioned above, I think these diaper covers are pure genius. I will be telling everyone I know about these (well at least those with little ones – others may not be that interested!).
I am really pleased with the quality as sell. Sometimes your purpose something only to get them home and notice shoddy construction. These will hold up for a long, long time, I do believe, as the seams and snaps are all sturdy and well attached.
