If you think the days are gone when families sat around a table on a special night to go crazy with board games, then you just haven’t played the right ones! R&R Games sent me two games to review but I’ll admit, it took me forever to choose which game I wanted because they all sounded fantastic!
We received Pressure Point and Time’s Up from R&R Games and let me tell you, we had a blast! In Pressure Point, you get a category and have to guess how many answers of things in that category the other player will come up with. For instance, if the category is U.S. Presidents and it’s Susie’s turn and you know she isn’t even sure who our current president is, let alone any past ones, you can guess that if she’s lucky she will know one. You turn your dial to one and then she presses the ‘Go’ button on the back of the timer and guesses as many as she can. If she fooled you and she spits out “Obama, Lincoln, Nixon, Roosevelt, Clinton, Kennedy, Ford, Jefferson, Adams” before the timer runs out, she wins points and you owe her some of your points too! If she comes up with none, you get points.
We really got a kick out of R&R Games Pressure Point. It was funny to see our reactions to the topics too. I’d see a topic that I just wasn’t sure if my husband would have a clue about and go “Hmm” and my husband would see a topic that he knew I knew nothing of and laugh. When he laughed, I knew I was in trouble. My husband managed to stay relatively level-headed but every time I saw a category, I would forget my own name. Mad Men’s Rich Sommer is a big fan of this game and I can see why. This one is going to be a serious hit at our summer parties.
Time’s Up was a really entertaining game as well. First, you get a card with a name on it. In Round 1, you describe your name to the other players to help them guess who it is. So if it’s Barack Obama, you would say “our current president”. In Round 2, you can only use one word so you might say “president”. In Round 3, you have to act out your name. This is where things got a little tough in my house! These are very specific people so it is really tough to try to act out a particular person but boy, is it fun to watch people try!
I guarantee that we will be purchasing more games from R&R Games in the future because I really love every game description on their page and two is simply not enough of their games for a family who loves board games for game nights AND parties! I give R&R Games… “rating”…“fingers”…“multiple”… two thumbs up!

Pressure Point sounds a bit more challenging and tons of fun so if I had a choice even though Times Up sounds fun too I think I would choose Pressure Point. However, we are gamers and love playing new games so either one would be great by us. Thanks for sharing these R &R Games.
