I am a sucker for romantic movies. The Notebook is one of my all-time favorite romance movies and I am excited to announce that a new movie, based on a book by Nicholas Sparks, is coming to theaters! Safe Haven will be in theaters on February 14th – Valentine’s Day. I cannot think of better timing for a romantic movie release!

An affirming and suspenseful story about a young woman’s struggle to love again, Safe Haven is based on the novel from Nicholas Sparks, the best-selling author behind the hit films The Notebook and Dear John. When a mysterious young woman arrives in a small North Carolina town, her reluctance to join the tight knit community raises questions about her past. Slowly, she begins putting down roots, and gains the courage to start a relationship with Alex, a widowed store owner with two young children. But dark secrets intrude on her new life with such terror that she is forced to rediscover the meaning of sacrifice and rely on the power of love in this deeply moving romantic thriller.

The movie stars has a fantastic cast: Josh Duhamel, Julianne Hough, David Lyons, and Cobie Smulders. I am especially excited as I met Cobie Smulders when I attended Marvel’s The Avengers Red Carpet event in NYC! I think she is pretty amazing 🙂

  4. I probably won’t see it until it comes on TV. I don’t like to go to theaters anymore.

  14. Oh yes, Note Book is one of my all time favorite movies so when I heard the Author who wrote Note Book also wrote Safe Haven I knew I was going to have to see the movie. I also liked that the director is the same who did the movie Cider House Rules. I won’t watch the movie until I have read the book. I did the same last year. I read “The Help” and then watched the movie. Thanks so much for sharing this review and giveaway with all of us~!
