Scentsy has a brand new line of Holiday 2011 Wickless Candle Warmers and fragrance bars. I was blessed to receive the Tannenbaum full-size warmer and two fragrance bars: Vanilla Cream and Christmas Cottage. The Scentsy for the Holidays Collection includes both full-size warmers and plug-in warmers. The thing I loved about the Tannenbaum full-size warmer is that with its beautiful design and green coloring, I could use this warmer not only during the holiday season but on an everyday basis as well. It was not limited to just Christmas time usage. Best of all, when the warmer is plugged-in, you can touch not only the warmer but also the wax without getting burned. It is a great way to fragrance our home and still know that it is safe for our children to be around. Since you can touch the warmer without being burned, it also makes it easy to move around if you need to move it. The full-size Tannenbaum warmer comes with a base and warming dish as well as a 25-watt lightbulb for use with the Scentsy bars or bricks.
The fragrance bars come in a “clam-like” casing that has 6 break apart sections. You simply divide the bar among the warmers (if you have multiple warmers) or put 1-2 sections in your single warmer dish, turn the bulb on and watch the bar melt down as the fragrance envelops your room. The Vanilla Cream is french vanilla with a touch of coconut milk. This fragrance reminded me of fresh vanilla beans and was light and gentle in our kitchen. However, my favorite was Christmas Cottage, a cozy inviting blend of Valencia oranges, raspberries, cloves and spices. It smelled just like you expect a Christmas fragrance to be. In fact, I am saving this fragrance bar to enjoy in December at Christmastime as we host and entertain during the holiday season. Changing scents is very easy to do. You just pour the melted wax back into the original packaging and store it in a cool place so the wax will reshape. You can re-melt the fragrance bars over and over again. One of the other neat aspects of Scentsy is that you can mix and match fragrance bars. For example, you could put 1 section of Vanilla Cream with 1 section of Mochadoodle (roasted coffee beans and cocoa, sugar, caramel and heavy cream) to create a coffee house smell right in your own home!
