Schwan’s Baked Ziti Complete Dinner

I was a Schwan’s customer for years and years and absolutely loved it. If you are not familiar with Schwan’s, it is a company that delivers food right to your house. How cool is that? I found them especially helpful when my daughter was little, and preparing a good home-cooked meal through my sleep deprived state was no easy task. Not only is Schwan’s incredibly convenient, but the food is amazing!

When my daughter was older, I decided to cook my own meals again and stopped my Schwan’s service. I am now regretting it, as I am frequently exhausted, but for different reasons these days. I have just joined again and cannot wait to start having my meals  delivered again!

I was reminded how much I love Schwan’s when I was asked to do a review of their Baked Ziti {and accompanying dishes}. The Baked Ziti is from the family style Italian cuisine line, Fresco by Scotto.

Hearty classic baked ziti, tossed with a 3-cheese combination of Ricotta, Parmesan and Mozzarella, smothered in flavorful rich tomato sauce. Bake it in the oven until golden brown and bubbling hot, and enjoy a dish, just like Grandma’s homemade! $10.81 24 oz. tray, serves 2

The complete meal was delivered to my house in a box with dry ice around the products, and everything was packed so nicely. I was excited to make this dinner, and it couldn’t have been easier! The Baked Ziti I cooked in the microwave, I steamed the broccoli, baked the garlic bread and scooped ice cream for dessert. This meal was pretty much effortless, but you wouldn’t know it by the taste. This was a creamy, cheesy dish with a rich flavor. The ziti were cooked perfectly and it honestly tasted home made.

The Five Cheese Garlic French Bread was awesome. Not only were they really big pieces {6 pieces per box}, but they were topped with a lot of cheese and flavor. This went so well with the Baked Ziti. The broccoli was super easy to cook/steam, and it had such a fresh flavor. The pictures below show the garlic bread before it was cooked, so you can see how much cheese was on there:

And last, but certainly not least – chocolate ice cream for dessert! The ice cream is really, really good. It’s also nice and soft and easy to scoop. It was a perfect way to complete our yummy meal.

Schwan’s home delivery is perfect for anyone. You can choose whether to have your order shipped, or delivered by truck. They have a huge selection of food items, they even have a LiveSmart line for healthy food choices. Schwan’s has everything from appetizers, veggies, side dishes, main courses to desserts!
