When my husband was working on his teaching degree, he studied many different styles of teaching. Â Not everyone learns in the same way. Â In order for him to be a good teacher, he needed to learn how to adapt his teaching to the needs of his students. Â Some people learn best by having information presented to them visually.
What on Earth? Books publishes a number of fold-out timeline books and poster books that provide a visual learning experience for both children and adults. Â Just in time for the new school year, What on Earth? Books has published three new timeline books, written by Christopher Lloyd, in association with the American Museum of Natural History –Â
The Nature Timeline Wallbook,Â
The Science Timeline Wallbook, andÂ
The Big History Timeline Wallbook, all available now! Â The books were designed for children ages 6-14, but they are also great for adults to enjoy too!
We received a copy of The Science Timeline Wallbook. Â It is written in the style of a newspaper, with tons of “articles” related to different scientific achievements. Â It also includes a 6-foot long removable science timeline and over one thousand beautiful illustrations. Â You can use the enclosed magnifier to easily read about scientists and important events in the history of science, from ancient times all the way to the modern day!
My husband instantly claimed The Science Timeline Wallbook for his classroom. Â It is a great resource for all of his students – teaching science in a fun and interesting way! Â It is certainly much better than reading out of a textbook. Â One of the things that I liked is the way the information is presented through newspaper articles – just how people would learn about scientific achievements in the past. Â The book even includes a quiz that my husband wants to incorporate into his lessons. Â I really need to make him bring it home so that I can look through it again!
For a new educational experience, be sure to check out The Science Timeline Wallbook or the other books offered by
What on Earth? Books – The Nature Timeline Wallbook, The Big History Timeline Wallbook, and many more!  The three newest books sell for $19.95 and can be purchased from
