Get Organized with Spicy Shelf

I am the designated “finder” in my house.  And I can tell you where anything is located in the house (have you ever heard the saying “It’s not truly lost unless Mom can’t find it?”).  To be able to do this, I am extremely organized.

Ok, I actually take part of that back.  I am pretty organized, except when it comes to my kitchen.  The problem is that the kitchen is small, outdated, and has no real separate storage or pantry area for food, spices, etc.  So all of that stuff is shoved in a couple of cabinets with no sort of organization whatsoever.  There are times when I buy something that I need for a meal only to later find the same thing in the back of the cabinet, or I can’t find what I need while cooking so I have to send my husband to the store.  And don’t get me started on the amount of food that I have had to throw out because it gets pushed to the back and is forgotten, only to later be found after it has expired.

My spice cabinet is the worst – all those little spice bottles stacked and shoved together in a huge mess.  But not anymore since I received a Spicy Shelf to try!

This is what my spice cabinet looked like before.  I can’t see the labels, I have to take out most of the spices in the middle to see what is in the back, and if I just reach to grab something out of the back, I knock a bunch of stuff over.  What a disaster!

The Spicy Shelf organizer set comes with two shelves, width expanders, and long and short legs, so it can fit in any size cabinet.  The shelves can be stacked or set side-by-side.  I added an expander to each side and stacked the shelves with the long legs in between.  It was really easy to put together and install in the cabinet.  My daughter came over and said “Mommy, did you build that yourself?” and gave me a high five when I said yes.

Then it was time to put everything back in.  Look how nice all of my spices and other items fit on the shelves!  There is even an open area in front of the shelves for big items that don’t fit on the shelves.  And the best part was that after I admired my neat and organized spice cabinet, it got me inspired to organize the rest of the cabinets too!

The Spicy Shelf doesn’t have to be used for just spices though.  It can go in any cabinet to hold any small objects – like nail polish or medicine bottles in a bathroom cabinet, or craft supplies in a craft room.  If you have a need for a Spicy Shelf, you can buy one online.  Connect with Spicy Shelf on Facebook or Twitter.  Enter for a chance to win a Spicy Shelf organizer set below!

  1. Yes, if I won, I would definitely use the rack to organize my spices. My area in the pantry actually looks way worse than yours, always searching for my spices. This would be nice to have! 🙂

  2. I would use it for my spices. Right now I have a lot of the same spices because everything is so disorganized.

  3. Personally, I need something like this for my spice cabinet, which is out of control.

My daughter, on the other hand, could use it for her tons of nail polishes.

  4. lol… I need 3 of these, 1 for my daughter’s nail polishes, 1 for medicine and vitamin bottles and the last one for spices!

  5. My cabinet is a mess! My fiance’ loves to cook and has TONS of spices.I can’t find anything in there without it turning into a project!!

  6. I’d use it to organize my spices. Right now, they’re in disarray. Thanks.

  7. I would use it for my spices as I am a collector of spices. I have seen this shelf used to organize other items which I think is awesome but my spices needs to be organized first.

  8. I would use this for my spices; they are always a mess. I alphabetized them, but, apparently my husband doesn’t know the alphabet. Ha ha.

  9. This is so neat!! I would love to have this for my spices, I get so sick of digging thru a hundred spices to find the one I need. 🙂

  10. I have one daughter that could use it for all her spices and one daughter who could use it for all her finger nail polish and perfume.
