Spoonful of Comfort Chicken Soup Review

Imagine returning from a trip visiting your family and the next day getting a phone call that your mama has been diagnosed with lung cancer. It is tough to think about but that was exactly what happened to Marti’s mom after a trip in 2007. Marti was unable to return right away with her 2 young children and tried to think of something to do. She immediately thought of chicken soup.

Unfortunately Marti lost her mother just 6 weeks later and she was never able to have her chicken soup.  However, in her honor, it is Marti’s goal to help others with sick loved ones.  This is how Spoonful of Comfort was born.

The boxes alone are beautiful and each has a little quote on the outside.  It made me smile.  Imagine how I would have felt if it was coming from my sister in Wisconsin who knew I was under the weather?  Maybe you know a new mama?  This would be a perfect gift to send because you know she won’t have a minute away from her new babe to cook.  Take that one extra burden off her and send her some chicken soup!

The soup is full of big chunks of chicken, carrots, onions, and noodles.  It is seasoned perfectly and was a hit with the girls.  Seriously this soup is as good as if you made it yourself!  Spread some butter on the rolls and watch them disappear along with the soup!  The oatmeal cookies in our Thinking of You package were soft and delicious!  The entire meal was a feel good experience, just the way Spoonful of Comfort intended it to be.
