Welcome to our Step into Summer event! Melissa and I have some wonderful things lined up for you to help you get ready for summer. Make sure you visit Melissa at Outnumbered 3 to 1 daily to see what she has in store for you too. Many days we will be reviewing and giving away the same item on both blogs – that is two chances for you to win!

Today’s featured company:

Summer is here and outdoor festivities have begun! If you like to fish, hunt, or go camping, then you will be excited to hear about Columbia River Knife & Tool.  I first found out about them when Melissa introduced me to them.  Luckily they wanted us to help spread the word about their wonderful products!  I was asked to choose something for review, and I knew exactly what I wanted.  I am always in need of scissors when I am out and about it seems, and a knife always comes in handy too. I wanted a multi-tool that had both of these.  I chose the Cicada Multi-Tool.

Columbia River Cicada Multi Tool review and giveaway

The Cicada™ is another innovative tool in the I.D. Works™ line, designed by Dana Bainbridge and Joseph Sundby of Roundhouse Media in Portland, Oregon. This small oval contains a high carbon steel pen knife blade that is Razor-Sharp and useful for many cutting tasks. It also has a small precision scissors. It’s not designed for big jobs, but it comes in handy for cutting and trimming.

Just push the button forward and it’s a bright little LED flashlight, really useful in dark entryways.

There’s also a very productive bottle opener for your favorite sodas and microbrews.

You can carry the Cicada on a key ring and it will be there to light the way and be ready to go to work when you need it.

It also comes with an injection-molded carry caddy. The caddy’s stainless steel clip has a special retaining lip that will keep it firmly attached to personal flotation devices.

You can also carry the Cicada in your pocket or purse, and use the clip as a money clip.

I absolutely love this little thing. It is lightweight and just the perfect size to keep in my purse {I love the lightweight feature, as I have enough stuff weighing down my purse, thank you very much!}. In addition to the scissors and knife I was so excited about initially, I also am thrilled with the LED light. I think that is something every woman should have with her. For men, this will be a handy tool to have too. It will easily fit in a pocket, or there is even the option of carrying it on a keyring and clipping it on a belt loop, or a flotation device. A bottle opener is on it too {now THAT is always handy:}.

Columbia River Knife & Tool carries quite a few must-have products for both indoor and outdoor. Pocket, survival, tactical and hunting knives are only a small portion of all they have to offer.
