Great Stocking Stuffers for Under $20 Each

holiday gift guide 2015 350
The last couple of years, I went completely overboard when it came to buying stocking stuffers for my girls.  There are several reasons for this: I either found something perfect for one girl which I then had to buy for the other girl too, I bought items throughout the year that I forgot about when shopping closer to Christmas time, or I bought more expensive items rather than cheap stuff that I knew would get broken right away.  The result was way too many stocking stuffers and way too much money spent.

This year, I am looking for stocking stuffers that my girls will use and enjoy, without me having to spend a huge amount of money.  I also want stocking stuffers that are higher quality so they do not get broken the first time my girls play with them.  Luckily, Brilliant Baby Products has compiled a list of a number of great stocking stuffers available for $20 or less, and I had the chance to review three fun products recently!

haba
First, I received a Swirling Magic Spinning Top from HABA.  This is a wooden top with wind-up cord.  When you pull the cord, the top starts spinning!  It has bright red details, including a red swirl  that looks really neat when the top is spinning.  It was a little difficult for my 4 year-old to get spinning (she had some trouble holding the top up and pulling the cord at the same time), but it would be fun for older children.  And since it is made by HABA, I know that it is a good-quality top that will not break easily.  The Swirling Magic Spinning Top sells for $9.99.

Soapsox
Second, I received a cool product from SoapSox, which makes a line of plush toys that go from playtime to bath time.  When your child is done playing for the day and is ready for a bath, just “feed” a bar of soap or liquid soap to the SoapSox, lather up with water, and use it like a washcloth!

The SoapSox is made of a soft terry cloth material with an antimicrobial sponge and finger pockets for easy handling, so it is perfect for bathing.  There is also a cord included, so you can hang the SoapSox up after the bath to dry out, and it is machine washable as well.  Once clean and dry, you child can again play with the SoapSox as a plush toy.  There are a number of cute SoapSox characters available – we got Hunter the Gator, but there is also Taylor the Turtle, Tank the Shark, Emma the Duck, Harper the Hippo, Jackson the Whale, Ava the Dolphin, Ray the Manta, and Scorch the Dragon.  You can buy these SoapSox characters individually for $14.95 each, as a set of two ($29.93 per set), as a set of three ($41.90 per set plus free shipping) or even in a family pack of six ($79.80 plus free shipping).

Digi
The last product that I received is one that my girls really need – DigiPuppets!  These are adorable little finger puppets whose noses work on your touch screens, similar to a stylus.  My girls loving playing games on my phone and tablet, but I am getting tired of constantly wiping fingerprints and sticky smears off of my screens.  The DigiPuppets work great to protect touch screens, and they are really fun to use as well!

We received two DigiPuppets – Honey Bunny and Zip the Zebra. There are a bunch of new characters coming soon as well, including Marco the Moose, Plucky Puppy, Kristy Kitty, Barry Bear, and Princess Patty.  There are also four educational apps available (from the App Store or Google Play) that feature the DigiPuppets – Honey Bunny Learns to Share, Honey’s Hide & Peek, Zip’s Learning Adventure, and Zip’s Big Race.  My girls are getting their own tablets for Christmas, and I cannot wait to download these apps so they can play them with their new DigiPuppets!  The DigiPuppets sell for $9.99 each, or you can buy both Honey Bunny and Zip the Zebra for $19.98 (plus free shipping).  They are also available from Bloomingdale’s (online and in stores).

If you are looking for some fun stocking stuffers this year, be sure to check out the HABA Swirling Magic Spinning Top, SoapSox, and DigiPuppets, as well as other stocking stuffers for under $20, as featured by Brilliant Baby Products.
