I am so happy to tell you about this wonderful watch I received for review. Actually my son is using it (he is 19), and really is enjoying all of it’s features. How does it work?:
The speed and distance mode uses the same accelerometer (marble in a bowl) technology that is used in the Accelerator Series watches to measure speed and distance functions. The heart rate monitor employs a conventional chest strap, using 5.3 Khz transmission frequency, to record a user’s heart beats per minute.
My son is very serious about his workouts, and he frequently runs and exercises. He loves that this watch keeps track of his profile and that it measures speed, distance, heart rate and calories. The watch comes with a chest strap that will allow the watch to capture, display and save heart rate data. I especially like this feature, as I believe keeping an eye on the heart during workouts is very important. I’ve never given much thought to pedometer watches or running watches before, but I believe this watch must be one of the best out there.
There are so many neat things this watch does – it is hard to list them all, but it has everything you could want in a men’s heart rate running watch. Here are a few that we found to be pretty neat: The countdown timer, the lap timer, exercise history and pedometer setting. It will keep track of how long you have exercised each day, and how much distance you have traveled, steps you have taken, etc. This watch really has it all and is a must have for anyone who exercises regularly or is just beginning to get into an exercise schedule.
