The Ghost Bed by Nature’s Sleep {Review}

Disclosure review
We are very, very particular about our bed. I have my neck issues and my husband has back problems. A firm mattress is a must for us, but the problem is that most of the spring mattresses only stay firm for a short while. A perfect solution would be a memory foam mattress, but they are incredibly expensive!

Our problem just may have been solved! I was recently asked to try a GhostBed by Nature’s Sleep. Naturally I was fascinated, and just a bit curious what makes this mattress so special!

Guided by years of experience and many tested products, we have designed the perfect feel that combines different densities and thicknesses of foam
1½” Continuous aerated latex foam is naturally responsive, plush and does not retain heat
2″ Gel memory foam uses a proprietary formula with larger cells to make it more reactive to the body for cooler nights
7½” High density base layer for increased support and longevity

And a little more about GhostBeds:

GhostGed facts
That pretty much says it all. But of course this is me we are talking about, so allow me to elaborate! The GhostBed is a little bit of heaven in a box. Seriously. When the box arrived, I wondered how on earth there could be a mattress inside. It was quite heavy, so I had a feeling it would be pretty awesome.

We were anxious to get it out of the box, but first we waited a few days to let it acclimate to room temperature (per the instructions).

This is how it looked when it came out of the box:

And when we removed the plastic:

And after it settled for a few hours, it looked like this (minus the foundation boxspring, which we didn’t get):

We have slept on the Ghostbed for a few nights now and we both agree that it is incredibly comfortable. It was dreamy, as a matter of fact. It will be especially nice in the hot summer months, as it will keep us cool (and hopefully the need to run the air conditioner all night long will be reduced!). It will be interesting to see how the GhostBed keeps its shape over time, but I have a feeling it will do just fine. Our bodies kind of melted on it – it seemed to form to our bodies.

We chose the Queen size GhostBed which is only $700. You can choose to order the foundation boxspring too if you want, for only $200. Oh, and shipping is free! The King and CA King are only $875, and the twin is only $495 (boxspring is $160). The offer a 101 day sleep trial too, which is nice. If you don’t like it, they will take it back! There is also a 20-year warranty.

The really neat thing is that the GhostBed is SO affordable. We could actually put these in all of our bedrooms for a fraction of the cost of what “standard” beds would cost. And our guests would be delighted, I’m sure!

One nice surprise is that there was a GhostBed t-shirt tucked inside the mattress when we unrolled it! What a clever idea, and much appreciated.

If you need a comfy bed that will provide a good night’s sleep – I highly recommend the GhostBed by Nature’s Sleep!

  1. So how are you liking your bed now? Has your review changed at all in the last few months? I hate my bed and the reviews on this look good but I USE to love the mattress I now HATE….. and it only took a few months for that to happen… my mattress fell flat quick lol. It was on the cheaper side of mattresses and since this is too, I would hate to end up with another lumpy uncomfortable pancake 🙁

  2. The amazing details you offered have really given me another item to add onto my wish list, especially if I were fortunate to win that of a prize to which might aid in getting the item. There’s no doubt, you have posted a great article here that will offer insight on an item that should be in that of everyone’s home being it appears to be incredibly comfortable.

  3. The Ghost bed sounds amazing! I like that it comes to my house packaged and all I have to do is open and set up. It really looks like a good mattress.

  4. Do you still have your mattress in 2021? If so, would you still recommend it or did you replace it with something else?
