Based on the bestselling novel by master storyteller Nicholas Sparks, THE LONGEST RIDE centers on the star-crossed love affair between Luke, a former champion bull rider looking to make a comeback, and Sophia, a college student who is about to embark upon her dream job in New York City’s art world. As conflicting paths and ideals test their relationship, Sophia and Luke make an unexpected connection with Ira, whose memories of his own decades-long romance with his beloved wife deeply inspire the young couple. Spanning generations and two intertwining love stories, THE LONGEST RIDE explores the challenges and infinite rewards of enduring love.

I just love a good love story, don’t you?  Take a peek at the trailer:

The Longest Ride wouldn’t have been possible without the partnership from Ariat International.  Ariat International is a leading western footwear and apparel company.  They are a major sponsor of the PBR and they also sponsor western athletes throughout the country.  I’m quite familiar with the Ariat brand as I’m from one of the biggest western celebrations, Nebraskaland Days.  From rodeos to parades, we see a lot of the cowboys in the area!

Ariat brought western authenticity and knowledge about rodeo, bull riding, cowboys and the western lifestyle to The Longest Ride.  It was with their sponsorship of the lead character, Luke Collins, in which they worked closely to create apparel and footwear with the costume designers. 7. No, I have not read The Longest Ride. I would like to read the book after I see the movie so I can enjoy the movie for what it is prior to reading the book which is usually better.
