Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub

Tiger Balm neck and shoulder cream

Tiger Balm

pain relieving cream for neck and shoulders

The folks from Tiger Balm couldn’t have contacted me on a better day.  I woke up that day with an incredibly sore neck – I guess I slept on it funny, or didn’t change positions all night long.  Either way, it really hurt.  I couldn’t move my head to the right, or left, and every slight movement had me hurting. It was a real fun {major sarcasm here} when I was trying to drive and could barely turn my head.

When I received the email to review Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub Pain Relieving Cream, I replied back with an emphatic “yes!”. I even mentioned to the rep that he picked a great day to contact me. I probably would have done it anyway, as Tiger Balm is a name I am familiar with and have only heard good things about.

It all started with a journey. A journey that imperial court herbalist, Aw Chu Kin, took nearly 100 years ago from China to set up his humble medicine shop in Burma (now Myanmar). His vision was to sell a unique herbal ointment which originated in the old imperial courts of China to relieve and soothe the body aches and pains of its users.

Little did he know that this remedy would transcend generations even after his death. To continue the legacy he created, his sons – Aw Boon Haw and Aw Boon Par – brought Tiger Balm to Singapore in the beginning of the 20th century and soon made it a household name.

Since then, Tiger Balm has grown to become one of the world’s leading topical analgesics with an expanded product line that includes its traditional ointments, as wells as Tiger Liniment, Tiger Muscle Rub, Arthritis Rub, Back Pain Patches, and its new Neck and Shoulder Rub.

I received the tube of Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub a few days later, and my neck was better by then. As my rotten luck would have it, I woke up with another stiff neck just a couple of days later. I remembered the Tiger Balm and eagerly rubbed it on my neck. Oh my goodness, did that feel good! One thing I really dislike about these lotions, usually, is the smell. Some smell so strongly probably every shopper in my local grocery store could get a whiff of it, as I whiz down the aisles. The Tiger Balm lotion actually has a very nice fragrance! I was pleasantly surprised, as I wasn’t expecting this.

Tiger Balm neck and shoulder cream

Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub provides fast, soothing relief for neck and shoulder pain and the aches caused by work stress, tension, and sitting at a desk for long periods of time. The water-based blend of camphor and menthol gives Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub a clean, non-greasy feel while the vanishing scent makes it practical for any social or office situation.

The nice fragrance wasn’t the only thing I liked about the Tiger Balm. It is non-greasy…and that is a huge plus for me. It was very effective as well – I could feel it penetrating my sore muscles immediately, and it was sweet relief. I was able to go about my day, without too much pain.

You can purchase Tiger Balm at leading retailers across the United States, including most major drugstores (like CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens), mass merchants (like KMART and Walmart), supermarkets, health food stores, Asian market stores, and many more {$8.00 ARV}. You can also request a $1.00 off coupon for Tiger Balm.
