I love being a host. The hostest with the mostest! From our weekly Family Dinner Nights with friends who we consider family to book club. Speaking of which, it was my turn to host! The only problem is that Book Club is on Monday nights…and I work full time, take several classes and have parental duties.
I needed a simple, go-to recipe that is a crowd pleaser…and I have it in the Ultimate Party Meatballs from Heinz, Johnsonville and Ocean Spray!
I received a super fun and festive gift basket to kick start my Ultimate Meatballs recipe – it was up to me to put it all together.
Challenge accepted!
My Ultimate Meatballs recipe is super simple and definitely no frills – ain’t nobody got time for that!
Sky’s Ultimate Meatballs
- 2 cans Ocean Spray® Jellied Cranberry Sauce
- 2 bottles Heinz® Chili Sauce
- 2 bags of Johnsonville® Classic Italian Meatballs

Put Johnsonville Classic Italian Meatballs into crockpot. In separate bowl add the cranberry sauce and chili sauce, pop that in the microwave for 45 seconds (it makes mixing easier). Mix together, add pepper to taste and pour over the meatballs. Make sure the meatballs are coated, cover with the lid and cook on low for 5-6 hours.
It’s that easy! I came home on my lunch hour to mix together this recipe – so quick and simple. Added bonus, the house smelled wonderful when I got home at 5!
Being a busy mom, I need super simple and this recipe is certainly that! The thing is, people think I spent hours cooking…and I didn’t! It’s fool proof and tasty! The key ingredients are easy enough to keep on hand. Heinz Chili Sauce is a family favorite, it’s a fantastic dip for fries! Ocean Spray’s Jellied Cranberry Sauce is always in our cupboard, not only for the meatballs recipe but because throughout the year, my Paige has cravings at the oddest times for cranberry sauce (and I never know when she’ll get that craving!). Plus, it’s just so good! It was my first time using the new Fully Cooked Johnsonville Classic Italian Meatballs and everyone loved them!
Best of all, leftovers the next day! Yum!
