Vicks DayQuil and NyQuil – helping us get through the flu season! #spon

I have been lucky, as I have not had a cold in years.  Until recently.  I am not sure if I caught this cold at our friend’s 50th birthday party, or if I caught it on the train, but some “germy” person so kindly shared their cold with me.  Although I am not thrilled about having said cold, the timing couldn’t be better.  I received Vicks DayQuil and NyQuil at the same time that I developed this cold.

I am always very diligent about keeping germs at bay.  I wash my hands constantly and use sanitizing lotion upon entering and leaving a store (I also use the wipes at the front of grocery stores for the carts).  Moms cannot afford to get sick, so we take extra precautions.  Mothers are typically the ones who keep the household running like a well-oiled machine, and we are also the ones who tend to the rest of the family when they get sick – we we just have to stay healthy.  However, when illness can’t be avoided and we develop the flu or a cold, we are expected to  keep going (kind of like that pink bunny).  There aren’t sick days for mom – no siree!

The good news is that there are options when us moms do fall ill.   We can still accomplish everything we need to do, including taking care of the family.   I have been doing just that, thanks to Vicks DayQuil.  I have been taking it for a couple of days now and it has helped my stuffy nose, the overall icky feeling, and the horrible headache I woke up with this morning.  This was certainly appreciated, as I had quite a bit of blog work to catch up on, errands to run and dinner to cook.

For night time relief , Vicks NyQuil can help you sleep, instead of tossing and turning with a stuffy nose.  Oh how I hate trying to sleep when I have a bad cold!  It is so frustrating when sleep just isn’t happening and I have a full schedule the following day.

What I love about Vicks DayQuil Cold & Flu Relief is that is a non-drowsy formula.  The last thing I need is to be sleepy during the daytime!  Even better is that it offers relief for multiple-symptoms, including the following: Sore throat, fever, aches, stuffy head and cough.   The active ingredients work at suppressing the impulse to cough (no more embarrassing coughing fits in public!), helping to clear nasal congestion which makes breathing easier. These same ingredients also offer relief for minor aches & pains, and they help to reduce fevers.  I am happy that I can take just one product instead of multiple products for multiple symptoms!

The LiquiCaps (for adults and children over 12 years of age) are so easy to swallow – I love them!  In fact, DayQuil and NyQuil LiquiCaps are also available in combo packs for both daytime and nighttime relief.  For children six years and older, there is a liquid form of Vicks DayQuil Cold & Flu Relief.

You can find Vicks DayQuil products anywhere Vicks products are sold. For more information about Vicks DayQuil Cold & Flu Relief, visit the Vicks website.  On their site, you will find a handy symptom selector tool, which allows you to pick the right product for your symptoms.

When using DayQuil/NyQuil, be sure to follow the usage guidelines for warnings and dosage directions. Remember before trying any new medication make sure to check with your doctor & follow the proper recommended course of treatment. DayQuil & Nyquil is not recommended for children younger than 12.
