I was pretty excited when I found out I would be reviewing Village Candle. I love candles of all shapes, sizes, and scents – I guess you could even say I am passionate about candles! One scent I have never actually tried before is Lemon. Or cake. Put these together and you have the wonderful candle I received from Village Candle to review here at Eighty MPH Mom!  But before I continue with my review, here is a little about Village Candle from their website:

I am really loving the Lemon Pound Cake candle that I received from Village Candle. The quality really stands out in the way that it burns and the fresh scent. Many scented candles have such an “artificial” scent that they give me a headache, quite frankly. This candle, however, has a light, fresh-baked scent that just kind of makes me say “Mmmmmm”. The Lemon Pound Cake candle fills my house with such a warming and welcoming scent – it’s always so nice to walk in to my house to be greeted with this.

Village Candle has votives, tealights, jars in three sizes, and even car fresheners! I love the burn times for their candles. Even the tealights burn for quite awhile (4-6 hours). The larger candles at Village Candle have two wicks. What does that mean? It means that three wicks offers three distinctive advantages over single wick candles. They offer a cleaner burn, they are more efficient {the two wicks burn the wax so completely that there is very little left in the bottom of the jar. That means you always get more candle for the money}, and last but not least – two wick candles double the ambiance {twice the glow!}.

I am anxious to try the other scents at Village Candle. Their selections are broken down into four groups: Florals, Outdoors, Baked Goods and Fruits. The ones I would most like to try are the Canyon Sunset {from the Outdoors collection – Orange, mandarin, jasmine, lavender and clove with notes of cedar wood and patchouli}, the Cranberry Orange {from the Fruits collection – Cranberry, pomegranate, tangerine and Brazilian orange – yum!} and…oh who am I kidding – I would love to try just about every scent they carry! They have even created a special Breast Cancer Awareness line where a portion of all sales is donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
