I may have mentioned it before, but changing the litter boxes isn’t one of my favorite chores. I highly doubt it is anyone’s favorite, but there are some things that can make it easier for everyone.

In my experience, some cat litters are more effective than others, and they make my job a little more pleasant. Okay, pleasant is the wrong word, but they definitely make the chose less daunting. One such litter that I recently tried is Cat’s Pride Fresh & Light Multi-Cat Scoopable cat litter. There are several things I love about this litter, and I will tell you about them below. Clumping/scoopable cat litter’s are sometimes very, very heavy, and sometimes it is really hard to scrape the bottom of the box, because the litter is kind of “glued” on. In the past, I have also tried so hard to scrape it that I accidentally flung litter across the room. Yeah, not pretty 🙂 Luckily I haven’t had this problem with Cat’s Pride Fresh & Light multi-cat scoopable litter. When they say “light”, they mean it! I have also found that the odor is controlled much more than with some other scoopable litters I have tried (and that is really saying something in my household!). I have three indoor cats, and lets just say that I have to really keep on top of the litter boxes. The boxes filled with this cat litter really does seem to keep them fresh longer.

I have also noticed less cat litter all over the floor. The reason this is so obvious to me is that I was constantly using a broom and dust pan to clean up the sharp little pieces of cat litter that I frequently stepped on. I am sweeping less, and enjoying fresh litter boxes longer. That is a beautiful thing!

  27. Our litter box is right outside our bedroom door. When my daughter forgets, we notice immediately! I am sure the light weight will also make it a bit easier for Anna since the litter box is all her responsibility.

  52. Any litter that would make less of a mess would make my life easier. We have 2 indoor cats and they track a lot of litter outside the box. I sweep daily and the litter still manages to get other places in the house. I’ve never tried this brand before, so I’d like to see how big of a difference it would make.

  131. This would be great because I have 4 cats and I too get tired of cleaning cat litter off of the floor. Sometimes I think there is more on the floor than in their boxes, lol.

  363. I have 5 cats and 2 dogs so the pet food is heavy enough them I usually buy at least 80lbs of cat litter at a time(usually more) I have 5 litterboxes. So it would be great to have lighter cat litter.

  460. Scoopable cat litter is SO heavy that my hubby is the one that takes care of emptying and changing the boxes in our house…I know he would appreciate it not being so heavy!
