I love salad. There is something about the cold, crisp lettuce and cold veggies that just tastes good. May it is because I know I am eating something good for me. Maybe it is because I like the crunch. Perhaps it is just the whole shebang! Who knows. I do know, however, that when I eat a Shrimp Louie Salad, I get all kinds of excited. It is kind of like a flavor and texture overload – but in a good way. Although there are all kinds of goodies in a Shrimp Louie Salad, the star of the show is really the Louie Salad dressing.
Traditional Seafood Louie Sauce
Not to brag, but I do believe I have the tastiest Louie sauce around. Whether you like Crab Louie or Shrimp Louie or a combination of both, this dressing will knock your socks off!
How to make Seafood Louie Sauce
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup cream or milk
1/4 cup chili sauce
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup green onions, minced
2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
Mix mayonnaise, milk, chili sauce and Worcestershire sauce together in medium bowl. Add green onions and lemon juice and stir all together until well blended. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serves 2-4 people. If you are having more than 4 guests, you can double the recipe. The sauce will keep in the refrigerator for about 3 or 4 days in an airtight container.
The best Louie Sauce goes with the Shrimp Louie Salad!
Now, I mentioned above that I think this is a best Shrimp Louie Dressing around. I also think my Shrimp Louie Salad is pretty darned amazing too. Mostly likely this is because of all of the goodies I put on top. I load up the bowl with lettuce, and do more loading up on top of that with shrimp and some other tasty items.
