These heart shaped foods are easy to make for Valentines Day 2023. We tell you how to make and where to buy these heart shaped snacks!
Here are some easy heart shaped snacks that are not candy
Heart Shaped Pizza
Everyone loves pizza! Why not shake things up with a heart shape pizza for Valentine’s Day? There are 3 ways to create a heart shaped pizza. You can either call your local pizza shop and ask them to custom make the pizza into the shape of a heart (there may be an extra fee, or you can wait for the pizza to arrive and cut your own notch out the top to create the heart shape. The final way is to buy a heart shaped pizza from Lidl when they have the stock for Valentine’s Day.
Heart Shaped Chicken Nuggets
These nuggets are a bit tricky to find, but you can usually find them in your grocer’s freezer during the month of February and late January. They sell Tyson Heart Shaped Chicken Nuggets at Walmart, Target, and other big grocery stores. I love these heart shaped chicken nuggets for the kids because they are easy to prepare and they are made from all white meat. Tyson is known for quality food products so I don’t mind them indulging in these heart shaped chicken nuggets for Valentine’s Day.
Heart Shaped Sandwiches
Make your loved ones some heart shaped sandwiches at home with a simple heart shaped cookie cutter. i don’t recommend cutting the entire slice of bread into a heart shape because that creates a lot of waste. If you are going for bite sized finger sandwiches, that’s cool too. Try using a smaller heart shaped cutter and cutting a small heart in the bread where the insides can poke through. This works for Valentine’s Day sandwiches that are not too gooey, because the contents may ooze out. If the heart is small then you should be fine and it will make an awesome presentation.
Heart Shaped Fruit
Few foods in nature are naturally heart shaped foods. One that comes to mind are strawberries. They make great Valentine’s day foods because you can leave them in their natural state, or cut a notch out of the top for a more heart shaped look. Dress them up with chocolate, nuts, whipped cream, or leave them naked and healthy!
Heart Shaped Pancakes
Heart shaped pancakes are very easy to make. You can start off with a simple heart outline and then fill in the shape with remaining batter. Add some food coloring for fun, but be sure to use gel food coloring so you don’t lose pigmentation once cooked. Make a fun morning with this pancake art activity.
Heart Shaped Waffles
Ok, so heart shaped pancakes may be a bit overwhelming, so why not go the waffle route? Try this heart shaped waffle maker for an easy Valentine’s Day shaped food. You can get this waffle maker almost anywhere in stores or online. Dress these heart shaped waffles up with whipped cream, berries, and of course syrup. Years ago, I switched from high fructose corn syrups to 100% maple syrup. It’s healthier, sweeter, and you don’t need as much to enjoy your pancakes and waffles.
Heart Cookies
Heart shaped cookies are easy to make and easy to buy in stores. Use a cookie cutter or do what I do, get these fun heart cookies from Pillsbury. They make ready to bake cookies with different images all year round. I like them for every holiday especially the Halloween print cookies.
Heart Shaped Cheese
These little on the go bites also make a great presentation on a charcuterie board or platter. If you’re really creative and ambitious, then try your hand at salami roses to accompany the heart shaped cheese.
Heart Shaped Pasta
More pasta please! Mostly everyone loves pasta and hearth shaped pasta is a sure way to make a pasta dinner more romantic and special. Of course you can make your own pasta, but Lidl has heart shaped pasta and many other seasonal foods for Valentine’s Day.
