Summertime means fun, but it also means messy and dirty {at least in my household} . Â After a day outdoors, my kids tend to track all kinds of dirt and grime into our house. Â For me, carpeting is particular hard to keep clean, especially in high traffic areas of my home. I think I should also mention my three indoor cats! Â Bissell “means clean” – and the Bissell Little Green cleaner is no exception.
While most people know that regular vacuuming plays an important part in carpet maintenance, many are still unaware that regular deep cleaning is also necessary for a healthier carpet. Even though deep cleaning doesn’t happen nearly as often as regular vacuuming, it is no less important to the health of your carpet. Carpet suffers the most from microscopic particles that get buried deep in its fibers for years. These dirt particles can remain in carpet even after vacuuming since they hide out of reach of even the most powerful vacuums.
BISSELL deep cleaners are able to reach the dirt that other vacuums can’t touch, resulting in a cleaner, healthier home.
I am so thrilled that I was able to review this little gem. Â One of the first things that caught my attention is that it contains at least 50% post consumer recycled plastic. Â Bissell not only means clean, they are green – I love it! Â There are just so many features I love about the Bissell Little Green – but I have to admit that one of my favorites is the long cord. Â It really annoys me when products have short cords and I have to keep unplugging and moving the cord to different areas. I just want to get it done without the extra work. Â This little machine is so simple to use. Â I assembled it by myself – which is saying a lot. I am easily frustrated. Â I took the Bissell Green Machine upstairs, as that is where all of our carpeting is. Â It did not take me long to find a dirty spot – there was one in particular that I couldn’t wait to clean! Â Here is a video I did of the Green Machine in action:

I was surprised how easily the spots came up – especially since they had been there for a long time. These were not recent spills. Everything I needed to get me cleaning was included in the package, including the cleaning solution. I was so pleased how spots can be removed with one simple tool. The hose/brush sprays, cleans, and dries effortlessly. I would recommend running a regular vacuum over the carpet before you do your deep cleaning with the Little Green, especially if you have furry beasts like I do.
Bissell is a name I know and trust. Â They have been around for many, many years. Â Of course their product line doesn’t end with the Little Green, they have an extensive line up of machines for your deep cleaning needs.
The Bissell Little Green retails for $79.00, which I think is a steal actually, for something that has become my new best buddy.

Okay first, I can’t help but think this is quite possibly the cutest little cleaner I’ve seen. I’m impressed with how well that cleaned up that spot! But I have to know, who is the culprit? Whose room was it? 😀
I plead the 5th : )
Wow, that did work great on that stain! I just love my Little Green too and it is super handy. Leland cleaned the entire truck with it!
Oh wow, look at how great that is! I need something to help with the milk spots covering my entire carpets from the Twins sippy cups. Thanks for the great review!

That looks like a terrific machine, I have to recommend it to the Hubs. We have a big Bissell that Bill uses for regular cleaning of the carpets, but with the doggies, there are occasional “accidents” that need to be cleaned and the big machine is cumbersome to drag out just for those. I bet he would love this for just that reason. I think I know what to get him for Christmas. TeeHee
This would be a super idea for Christmas (or birthdays, Father’s Day, etc. LOL). I really love it!
