Papermate InkJoy Pens

Some people are very particular about the pens they write with, and others are not as picky. I am in the first group – I need to have a certain type of pen. You can call me a “pen snob” if you’d like. When I have my favorite pens in a multitude of colors, it is just an added bonus, and I am especially happy. Vivid colors brighten up everything – from thank you cards, to grocery lists, to notes around the house. They make ordinary tasks a just a little more fun (and pretty!).

Ooooh pretty!

I was sent a huge assortment of colorful pens from Papermate InkJoy, to try out and share my thoughts (to say I was overjoyed would be an understatement – yes, I was really excited!).  I opened each pen to test it out and see its color.  One thing that I thought was pretty neat (that I have never seen before on a pen) is that the tip of each pen has a tiny little plastic cover on it to keep it from drying out.  I simply popped that little piece off and was able to write immediately.  You know how sometimes when you buy new pens you have to scribble and scribble just to make them work? That did not happen with the InkJoy pens.

As I pulled the colorful InkJoy by Papermate pens out of their packages, I knew that I would have to guard these with my life. You see, my children tend to run off with all of my favorite things, and sometimes I don’t want to share! I have a feeling that InkJoy pens will soon be the world’s most stolen pen (starting at my house), and if you work in an office, you are really in trouble. You might consider making a colorful necklace with your InkJoy pens and keep them safely around your neck at all times, so they don’t just “up and walk away” from your desk.

But how do these pens write? They are smooth and they glide beautifully! This is something I always look for in a pen. I like my writing to be neat, tidy, and easy for others to read.

Here is a fun little video, with more about InkJoy pens:

This may sound a little crazy, but I actually look forward to writing again. Since I am on the computer so much, I tend to type most things, and dread it when I have to physically write something (a grocery list or note to my daughter’s teacher, for instance). Now I kind of think to myself, “Oooh!”, as I remember the InkJoy pens.

In addition to the colorful pens, I also received white and black pens, which have the standard black ink. No matter if I am using a color or black pen though, InkJoy makes it easy to write without having to put much pressure on the pen. As someone who suffers from Carpal Tunnel, this is very much appreciated. When writing more than about 4 sentences, my hand typically starts to tingle. I can write much, much more without that tingling numbing sensation when I use my new BFF’s – InkJoy pens.

Well, sure enough, my daughter found my InkJoy pens last night as she was getting ready for her first day of school, today. Since I have such a nice supply of colorful pens, I decided to give her a few (about three), so she too, can have fun writing. Maybe doing her homework will be a little more interesting now.

  1. I won a set of these pens several months ago and I love them! I will not generally buy pens, but these make me rethink this policy when they eventually run out or disappear.

  2. I know it sounds nerdy but Papermate pens have always been my favorite. Remember those skinny white ballpoint pens? I loved those. These new InkJoy pens sound like something I need in my life!

  3. Call me a pen snob too! I am SO picky with my pens and everyone always grabs the ones out of my drawer! So frustrating! I’ll definitely give these a try sine it’s about time to buy some new ones. I swear, I don’t know what happens to them all!

  4. I love a good pen and especially one that writes really well and the ink flows good. Will have to give these a try. Thanks!
