Oh my gosh. What fun! Do you have Yo Gabba Gabba fans in your house? If so this show is a must see! We were graciously given tickets for the show this past Saturday in Charlotte, NC so that I could give Eighty MPH Mom’s readers a full review. As we were driving to Ovens Auditorium the snow flurries started. I thought to myself “Oh no, DJ Lance has competition.” If you don’t know it hardly EVER snows in Charlotte. We arrived and headed in quickly before the kids actually realized that the snow might stick.

Anticipation. The auditorium was filled with it. Parents giving toddlers cotton candy and juice boxes. With all that sugar flowing it would be hard to keep your kids from jumping, shaking, and shimmying to the beat. The show started just a bit behind. The only reason I knew this was my girls asked about a million times how much longer. They were so excited to see DJ Lance Rock and the rest of the gang perform. We weren’t the only ones impatiently waiting.

DJ Lance came on the screen, then live in person and the auditorium erupted in squeals, screams, and lots of clapping. It was loud in a very good way but nothing compared to when the screen rose to show that Muno, Foofa, Brobee, Toodee, and Plex were also in the house.

We danced and sang. The Yo Gabba Gabba crew did not disappoint and performed all their most popular fun songs. Confetti burst in the sky, bubbles flew around and children wished they could just be a little taller so that they could pop some more! My youngest had a permanent smile from the time the lights dimmed until the lights came back on again.

At intermission we got up to use the restrooms. I have a 3 year old and I know that all of you mamas know there isn’t a bathroom you haven’t seen within a 25 mile radius of your house. She never disappoints. After we were done I brought the girls over to the window so that they could look outside. “It’s snowing!” they screamed. “Can we play in it when we get home?” They didn’t want to miss of the concert and, honestly, I didn’t either. As a parent (and an older mama at that), I had just as much fun as my kids did. Watching Yo Gabba Gabba for so many years I also know the songs, they are catchy what can I say. I had a 3 year old on my hip dancing the whole time! My legs felt it too 🙂 Yo Gabba Gabba Live is a fun, interactive, lively show to take your family to. Mother, father, and kiddos all enjoyed it!
Check out www.YoGabbaGabbaLive.com and find a city near you. Tour dates listed are through March. Take your family and have a fun filled afternoon or early evening. Want to make it even more special? Buy Gabba Party Packages (including a meet & greet with the characters) right away and give your kids an experience they won’t soon forget. Plus, you’ll have just as much fun as they will! I heard a lady in line behind me say that she tried to get that package in Charlotte but it sold out right away so if you were thinking about doing that order your tickets now. That would be a memory none of the family would soon forget!

We had a great time seeing the show when it was in my neck of the woods. 🙂
What a fun show. We haven’t seen it yet but once my daughter is a little bigger, I hope to.
It looks like you had a great time!
