Extravagance Meets Agility with the All New Britax B-Agile Stroller

It’s been a rough summer here in the northeast. One week of incredibly hot and humid temperatures followed by a solid week of thunderstorms – then repeat. This has left us braving the heat and doing our best to get outdoors during the times that we can. We’re big fans of going for walks and runs but, with two little ones, the giant double stroller isn’t always something that I feel up to pushing in the humidity. During these trips, our oldest often requests taking his bike along. This, of course, leaves me pushing a half-full double stroller while trying to keep up with a boy and his bike.

Since our oldest little one is not quite so little any longer, I think that it’s time we get back to our single stroller days. We haven’t had a single stroller since the kids were born so I’m a bit out of the loop here. Luckily, I have you, here at Eighty MPH Mom, and was recently given the opportunity to try out a pretty snazzy new product.

Say hello to my good friends at Britax again! Britax has a slew of great products and the B-Agile stroller is the newest addition to that list. After quickly becoming a customer favorite, Britax recently released the new collection that features three great fabric options! Previously available in Black, Kiwi, Red, and Sandstone, it is now also available in the 2013 new colors of Peacock, Plum, and Granite.

We chose the new Peacock color, a bluer take on emerald. It’s supposedly the 2013 Color of the Year but for us, well, we just have a thing for the peacock’s beautiful colors. I also love it because it is gender neutral and will work perfectly for our boys but is still something that’s girly enough for Mom.

The Britax B-Agile, of course, has the agility that we all need and want in a stroller but most users, myself included; fall in love with its ease.

The one-hand, quick fold feature makes it a breeze to close and that is certainly a necessity when dealing with rambunctious little ones. Having to struggle with a stubborn stroller while simultaneously entertaining and, possibly even, holding a child is a thing of the past. With the B-Agile, I can easily fold, pick up, and store (it’s only 16.5lbs!) the stroller with our youngest still on my hip and I can do it quickly enough to ensure that our oldest stays close by (a huge plus for parking lots!).

Of course, the B-Agile is still a Britax product, so in true Britax fashion, it features a great five-point safety harness. There’s no need to ever re-thread the straps because it is easily adjustable and grows with your child. From birth to toddlerhood and beyond, the B-Agile can seat a child of up to 55 pounds!

While we no longer have the need for using it as a travel system, the Britax B-Agile is compatible with most infant car seat brands when used with the Britax Infant Car Seat Adapter (sold separately). Thanks to the Click & Go integrated adapter system, it works right out of the box as a travel system with the Britax Chaperone and B-Safe infant car seats as well.

Storage is something that most parents take into account when stroller shopping and Britax does not disappoint in this aspect either. The large storage basket beneath the seat along with the zippered pouch offer enough space for all of the usual items and then some.

Then, of course, there’s the strolling itself. The B-Agile has a brilliant three-wheeled design that helps to greatly improve the stroller’s maneuverability. Whether we’re walking down the boardwalk, running alongside our oldest on the bike path, taking a trip to the park, or simply browsing through the aisles of our local stores, the Britax B-Agile has the swift ability to take on any terrain in any location effortlessly.

  38. This was a no-brainer! Britax’s car seats! I want a new one for my 2 year old and I need one for my baby that is on the way (I am due in Feb). They come SO highly recommended and I would have bought one for my daughter had it not been for my sister in law buying me another quite awesome car seat.

  51. I have 13 grandkids now and ONE great grandchild! I could use the B-agile double, I think. Would come in handy. Even 3 and 4 year old kids get tired when you do a whole day at at the zoo and such! You need a stroller

  171. We would LOVE to WIN this stroller. My husband did all his research on Britax when we were getting ready for our little one. Due to finances we were not able to get the model we wanted at the time but we were lucky enough to score a second hand Britax car seat for our daughter. She LOVES it, she used to fight when we put her in her old car seat and now she no longer fights or cries when its time to go somewhere. Upgrading our stroller might even make her a total happy lil camper during our nightly walks. Fingers, toes, hairs and eyes crossed for this.

  251. Another Britax product I love is the Frontier 90. I love that it has the no-rethread harness adjustment and that you can keep a child harnesses until 90 pounds!!

  395. I just test-drove Britax B Agile, and I loved its smoothness and lightweight…I also loved the B Safe Carseat bc it had much more room and nice padded comport seat.

  405. I like the Child Bike Seat, I think it’s awesome that such a reputable company makes a bike seat so you don’t have to worry about a sub-par seat.
