taffy tree easter candy,gluten-free saltwater taffy, kosher food gifts

I previously did a review for saltwater taffy from Taffy Tree and I was so happy with their yummy taffy.  I am so glad they wanted to be a part of the Leap into Spring event, as you can order some wonderful Taffy Tree Easter items that I cannot wait to tell you about! If you are looking for something fun and original to put in Easter Baskets this year, why not add little bags (or big bags!) of Taffy Tree taffy?  They have sample bags for only $2.00 each, as well as adorable little gift packs all decked out for Easter for only $10.25!

Taffy Tree’s most popular item is their sampler – what a great way to sample each and every one of their flavors on their Taffy Card.  That is a lot of flavors and a great way to decide which are your favorites!

Something else exciting going on at Taffy Tree is their new recipe section – the recipes actually use their taffy! They all sound super good, especially these:

TAFFY TREE POPCORN BALLS

  • 4 cups popped popcorn, not microwave popcorn
  • 10 pieces TaffyTree Taffy
  • 1/2 Tablespoon butter
  • teaspoon milk

Place taffy, butter, and milk in a plastic bowl and heat in microwave. Check mixture every 15 seconds. When melted, stir until mixture is smooth. Place back in microwave for 8-10 additional seconds. Immediately pour hot taffy mixture over the popcorn inside a large plastic bowl, and stir until completely covered. If mixture cools too quickly, place popcorn bowl in the microwave for 15-20 seconds, to heat mixture back up. Stir again.

Using plastic wrap, cut into squares, divide the popcorn evenly and place on plastic. Wrap the plastic around the popcorn and shape into balls.

Yield: 2 large popcorn balls or 4 small “kid sized” popcorn balls

One large batch of one flavor taffy:
12 cups popped popcorn
30 pieces of TaffyTree.com taffy
1 1/2 Tablespoons butter
1 Tablespoon milk

Our favorite TaffyTree flavors: Candy Corn, Cotton Candy, Caramel Corn, Maple. Taffy with the most brilliant colors makes the most colorful Popcorn Balls

Recipe can also be baked in a 200 degree oven for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes, for a crispy caramel corn experience.

The recipe is Gluten Free

Yum! These sound so good!  Make sure you check out Taffy Tree Recipes to see what else they have that you can make for some truly unique treats.

I’ve often wondered why salt water taffy is called that. Most so called salt water taffy does not even have a hint of salt! The Taffy Tree taffy actually does! When I tried Taffy Tree taffy during my last review, it really did have a hint of salt – but certainly not too much. Just enough to give it that “oomph” that I had been searching for in my taffy for years (literally!). When was looking over the ingredients, and sure enough – real sea salt is used in their taffy. It is really neat to try different sweet flavors with a hint of salt.

Taffy Tree has a very impressive list of flavors, and I loved each and every one of them. My favorites were the Caramel Apple, the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, the Grape, Raspberry, Candy Corn….and so many more.  What is really fun is that they also have pre-made taffy mixes.  Some of these are Fruit Salad Mix, Ice Cream Mix, Night at the Movies, and State Fair.

Taffy Tree even has nine flavors of sugar free taffy and all of their taffy is completely Peanut, Tree Nut, and Gluten FREE! The taffy is made in a Gluten Free and nut free facility. All of TaffyTree taffy flavors are certified Kosher Dairy too!
