Oh I have so many happy places! It would be hard to choose just one, and lucky for me, I don’t have to. One place I would love to visit again is the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. My husband and I used to drive there a lot when we first started dating. We spent many a weekend just chillin’ on the beach and having a few treats from the vendors. Then a few years ago, my daughter and I decided to spend her Spring Break there. We had so much fun that we did it again the next year. We stayed at a gorgeous hotel right on the beach (Dream Inn), and it was fun mother-daughter time. We spent hours in the arcade playing air hockey, Skee-Ball and other arcade classics and then we went on a few rides. We indulged in several clam chowder bread bowls. Okay, now I am craving them again. It would be fun to rent a car from Alamo for our trip…I am thinking maybe the Chrysler 200 Convertible. That sounds like the perfect girls getaway car, right? Maybe she and I will go to Santa Cruz again this year – we shall see!

Another happy place of mine is our dreamy vacation/retirement home. We have had it for a little over a year now and we go down there often. I don’t have a care in the world while we there. We spend a lot of time out back, looking at the lake and hanging out with our duck friends. I cannot wait to be there permanently!

Or who knows, we might go somewhere completely new!  I would really love to head to Southern California and spend some time on the warm beaches.  There is nothing like warm sand in the toes and a romantic moonlit walk on the shore when the sun sets.
