BISSELL CleanView Vacuum
I have two older kids (16 and 23) and two indoor cats. This spells “MESSY”! Now as you know, I am one busy blogger and to keep my house clean, I need products that allow me to do household chores quickly and efficiently. It seems that anytime I turn around there is something on the floor/carpet – whether it be food bits from the kids or fur from the kitties. IT NEVER ENDS.
My husband and I have had so many vacuum cleaners since we first got married. There have only been a handful that I actually liked. One frustrated me so much that I tossed it in the backyard (true story!). I need something powerful – and this is where the BISSELL CleanView Vacuum comes in. When I received it, I couldn’t wait to try it out.
Assembly was a breeze – I did it myself (yay me!) in about 5 minutes. At first I thought the crevice tool was missing, but it was actually just hiding in the hose attachment. The instructions were really easy, and there aren’t a bunch of parts to try to figure out. It couldn’t have been easier!
My first mission was to tackle the cat fur on my bedroom floor. Please pardon the dirty floor in the photo below, but I let it get this way so that I could thoroughly test out my vacuum when it arrived. Hmmm, saving up dirt – that is something new for me!

Want to see all the fur, crumbs, etc that it sucked up? You probably don’t, but take a look – this is impressive!
Gag. Although I was happy with the results, I was also kind of disgusted at how much stuff was on my carpet (and how much that my previous vacuum missed!).
The Bissell CleanView Vacuum has amazing suction, due in part to the cyclonic system. It picked up everything in one swoop. One of the things I am most happy with is how well it picks up cat litter. We have a large area set up with a big area rug, for the litter boxes. My cats tend to fling pieces all over and with every other vacuum I have had, I have to go over these areas again and again. OR the vacuums kind of spit it back out and blew it in different directions. This was not the case with my new machine. One swipe over the carpet and every piece of litter was sucked up. Seriously. Do you have any idea how much time this will save me? It will also save my back, as I won’t be bending down to pick up the little pieces out of frustration.
See? No kitty litter!
There are different settings to choose from, which I am happy to see, as the downstairs of my house has laminate flooring (with lots of area rugs), and the upstairs is carpeted. I use the bare floor setting a lot and I am pleased with how well it picks up crumbs, and oddball things that get tracked in the house.
Included with the vacuum are several attachments: Turbo Brush which can be used on stairs, upholstery, furniture, etc., a crevice tool for those hard to reach places, or in corners, and an extension hose. It also comes with a Hepa media filter to keep air clean (really important if you have cats…or people with allergies in your home). I love the washable foam tank filter and the EasyEmpty dirt tank. Everything is just so well thought out and user friendly.
Now that vacuuming is less of a chore and more of a time-saver (and actually I kind of enjoy vacuuming now), I will use the extra time to do the things I want to do, such as playing with my kitties, oil painting or getting more blog work done.

Wow that really picked up a lot!
LOVE Bissel. They’re expensive up here though. 🙂 Are you guys going to do another giveaway with the Wugadog toys? I just heard that Ty Warner (The Beanie Baby gazillionaire) is invested in the company and is guiding the way Wugadogs are being sold (it was on CNN I think). Any news?
I imagine we will! I have not heard any news about Ty Warner being investing in the company, but I’ll certainly be on the lookout for any news!
I love Bissel! I have a much older model that is still doing a fantastic job of keeping the floor clean- we love ours.
Nice! I’m in the market for a new vacuum and the Bissel Clean View is on my list. Impressive!
Hey can I use the I made my carpet dirty on purpose excuse? LOL. Looks very powerful, I bet you love cleaning now!
HAHA love it! Certainly – just say you want to see how good your vacuum REALLY is, so you are letting things accumulate on it!
We have a Bissel Carpet Cleaner and it’s amazing! Only problem is that I don’t have a good vacuum. I guess I’ll have to bite the bullet and a Bissell it will be. Great review, glad to hear that it worked so well.

Oh I need something that sucks up everything llittle thing my kids drop on the floor! Its an insane amount- so it needs to be awesome!!
That is insane! It is amazing how different all vacuums are, I currently have a Dyson and I admit I have recently had my doubts about how effective it is being.
Looks great! Thank you for the review!
OMG…if I had this vacuum, the canister would look like that after I vacuumed my couch and steps and…furniture. Ugh. Now I want a new vacuum. I probably need one.
Great vacuum, my wife loves her’s!
Great vacuum. I don’t own one or any other cyclone type, but it looks like it will do the job, and is cheaper than the popular cyclone unit.
I bet it was ridiculously hard to let that dirt and hair go so you can show the before and after photos. That is one powerful vacuum!
You have no idea!!
That sweeper looks amazing! I would love to be able to try it!
It seems like a great vacuum, but Bissell has always been a trusted and dependable brand.
I’ve had a Bissell before and it work great until my dog chewed the cord up (it wasn’t plugged in thankfully) My dog hates vacuums and for once he got his revenge. I have a Shark now and its okay perhaps I’ll look at Bissell again.
Wow that IS powerful! With 6 in the house and two dogs, Betcha’ I can suck up more than you. LOL! My daughter is needing a vac VERY badly. I am thinking this would be a great pick! Thanks for a great review and a bunch of great pics. Love reviews like this.
I have a very old Kirby that is starting to fall apart. I cannot blame the vacuum, it has been thru it all. I have been thinking about getting a new vacuum. I will be checking out this vacuum. Thank you for the honest review.
It’s time for a new vacuum. Ours is falling apart. It looks like Bissell works great!
I like the easy assembly!
Sounds like an awesome machine! I love the turbo brush on it
I’m glad you were saving dirt so we could see how well it worked….. Ya, sure.
Looks like it does a good job.
Wow, I love seeing all the dirt being picked up!!
I love the idea of a bagless. I got one of the early ones and it sucked- or rather it didn’t… This one looks great!
Wow! It looks great. I have a Bissell pet hair had vac and I swear by it!
I am actually looking at buying a new vacuum, and It was helpful to read your review. Thanks!
I really need one of these!
Wow…looks great! We need a new vacuum right now pretty badly, so this review has come at just the right time. There might be a Bissell in our future!
I have always been a fan of Bissell, a trusted name for me. The bare floor setting is a lifesaver for me as my kid’s tend to use my floor’s as Art
I have a Bissell proheat carpet cleaner that works really well. I would like to have a Bissell vacuum cleaner too.
wow this looks great its a little expensive… i can dream about it though:)
Did Bissell give you an ARV for this vacuum? Looks kinda expensive.
The ARV is $79.99 – not expensive at all!
I absolutely love Bissell. We have a Bissell vacuum that we got on sale and it’s pretty good. We’re considering getting a Bissell steam cleaner now. Thank you for the review and all the photos!
You are very welcome! Bissell is a name I’ve known from my childhood, and I am glad they still make wonderful products!
I love the Hepa Media Filter! Whenever I vacuum I always get stuffed up and start sneezing. This feature is great!
I have 4 dogs that shed so I need a powerful vaccum that sucks up fur. I like that it can adjust to clean bare floors and doesn’t need bags. My current vaccum doesn’t do that.
I love that feature too, since our house is 1/2 carpet and 1/2 laminate flooring!
It’s great that you can see what it picks up, but I guess it’s bagless and you have to manually clean out the canister? Bad news for me, who’s allergic to a lot of stuff that needs to be vacuumed up!!!
Yes, you empty the canister, so that’s probably not good for your allergies 🙁
I love reading reviews where animal hair is involved because we have a lot of fur around here. I vacuum every single day, and I really hate our current vacuum cleaner! Great review!
We have so much fur too – it takes a strong vacuum to get it all up!
