For those of you that are longtime readers here at Eighty MPH Mom, you’ll know that there’s a fun, quirky love for cars here. In my house, that adoration only doubles. You see, I have little boys and my life has become filled with all things car related. Whether we’re sprawled out across the living room floor zooming cars from one end of the room to the other, in the backyard racing with the kids’ battery powered cars, or if we’re attending a local car show or race event, our lives are filled with all things that go “vroom!” However, despite the kids’ toy collection being overrun with a vast array of wheeled playthings, it’s been hard to find any toy vehicle that can hold up to the rough and tumble play of little boys.
With so many of our past toy vehicles breaking, the only products that ever held up well to the wear and tear and crazy play of little boys is wood. Over the years, we did learn that wooden toy vehicles tend to last much longer than their plastic and metal counterparts but, unfortunately, many of the available wooden items don’t appeal to young children. Kids want bright, they want fun, and they want something that they can control. However, with many wooden toys being “just” wood, nothing every truly caught the kids’ attention. Instead, they’d opt for the plastic counterparts that’d be broken within a week. While we have come across a handful of toy cars that do make the cut, many have been on the smaller side and have been deemed “not as cool” as their larger, cliché counterparts. Thinking that I was on the losing end of this toy car fiasco, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with a fantastic brand. My kiddos absolutely love all things car related and even that is a huge understatement. We’ve been through so many different types of toy vehicles so for me to say that we may have just found the best of the best is certainly saying something. These days, I’m doing exactly that. Please allow me to introduce you to Automoblox.

After completely reinventing the classic wooden car and entire toy vehicle industry by fusing modern design with old world values, award-winning Automoblox brand was born. The different parts for each vehicle can be interchangeable and allow children the ability to, not only, enjoy driving around toy cars and trucks but they can now add building and even educational aspects into the mix. This amazing collection of vehicles not only serve as ridiculously incredible toys but they double as a creative canvas because they allow children to mix and match the swappable parts to truly bring their own visions to life.

The design itself is reason enough to turn heads and with the full collection consisting of nearly twenty different models in addition to the Mini line and even the occasional Limited Edition models, there really is something for everyone. We received the following models:
- C9-R Sports Car
- S9 Police Cruiser
- T900 Rescue Truck
- X9 Fire SUV
- T900 Jim Hoffman Limited Edition Truck

Our child is encouraged to figure out novel ways to use Automoblox parts to produce vehicles of their own creation using their imagination. Creative problem solving skills develop as your child is able to formulate new ideas and produce a variety of responses (or different combinations) to create new car designs.
Next up is the fact that Automoblox helps kids to also fine tune their fine motor skills. I remember when the kids first started school that their teachers would ask about their prior progress with this. As odd as it may be, I was proud of the fact that they were able to perfect these skills through the simplicity of play.
Gross and Fine Motor Skills develop and exercise a child’s sensory and motor modalities. Automoblox promotes the development of the ability to coordinate precise hand and visual movements, precise movements of the arms, hands, and fingers, and the ability to develop finger dexterity and speed of motor movements.
Last, but certainly not least, is visio-spatial processing. It may sound like a mouthful but, for children, this is a key factor in not only their education but an important skill in daily life as well.
Visio-spatial processing is an important link in the processing of information and the ability to develop visual motor integration skills. While playing with Automoblox, a child discovers how they perceive shapes and part-to-whole relationships by putting the puzzle pieces together. They will begin to use skills such as rotation, integration, and see angles to accurately differentiate between shapes and how they can build and design their own cars.
There are so many great aspects to the Automoblox brand that I could go on and on for days about how much my family loves it. Much akin to the fact that the kids could go on and on playing for hours on end with their “most favoritest new toys ever.”

At Automoblox, it is true that their products are revolutionary but it is also accurate to say that the ideology behind the brand is rather remarkable. I am so incredibly thankful to have had the opportunity to introduce my boys to this brand and I am quite pleased to say that we will surely be adding to our collection for some time to come. These toy vehicles really are that amazing. Hey, even Jay Leno approves!

Those are very nice looking cars. I like that they would be functional as a toy yet they still look fancy and unique to appeal to a kid. My favorite is the Police car.
WOW! They are super impressive cars, my little boy would love these, he loves his hot wheels, and any other car related toy, great pick!

I like them, they look like they have a heft, solid weight to them. They remind me of the Pinewood Derby in Cub Scouts when I was about 10. Thanks for posting this. I’d never heard of them before.

These cars are amazing. The attention to detail is fantastic. I like that Jay Leno is promoting it. I know that he has been an avid car fan for years and his collection of cars is unbelievable.
Those are some nice cars. I like that they are big enough for small hands to grasp them and that they are suitable for small kids too.
