Just the other day I went to my local T.J. Maxx and found some wonderful deals (as I always do when I shop there!). The store was stocked with wonderful products for wonderful prices, and I was thrilled to see that they had a nice selection of Back to School Clothing too! If you are not familiar with TJ Maxx, I highly suggest that you stop in to one next time you have the chance. I mentioned in my previous, Marshall’s/T.J. Maxx review, that department stores only receive new merchandise seasonally but T.J. Maxx and Marshalls receive more than 10,000 new items each week! You are bound to find something you like each and every time you shop. I love that I never have to wait for a big sale and that I do not need to worry about clipping coupons to take advantage of a good deal. They have good deals every single day!
Of course Back to School items are only a small portion of what you will find at T.J. Maxx. They have darling summer outfits for children and adults, accessories, bedding, housewares (I found some wonderful candles there), and more.
T.J. Maxx has partnered with “Save the Children” too, which I think is wonderful:
This season, parents can update their children’s wardrobes with trendy basics like denim, hoodies and printed t-shirts that will stretch throughout the year, and not break the bank! This back to school season, in celebration of their 25th anniversary of supporting Save the Children, T.J. Maxx will also provide basic items to U.S. children in need.
As the new school year approaches, many parents and kids are getting ready by purchasing new school supplies and clothing. However, for children living in rural poverty in the United States, getting just the basic necessities to go back to school can be a challenge. Beginning on August 3, all T.J. Maxx stores will carry limited edition reusable shopping bags for $0.99. The bags are designed with Save the Children original children’s artwork, and for each bag purchased, T.J. Maxx will donate one basic item such as; socks, underwear and backpacks to Save the Children’s U.S. programs, up to 25,000 items. This initiative marks 25 years of partnership for T.J. Maxx and Save the Children.
“For the past 25 years, T.J.Maxx has shown its commitment to children living in poverty by being a dedicated partner to Save the Children and supporting our work in rural communities across the country,” said Mark Shriver, Vice President and Managing Director of Save the Children’s U.S. Programs. “The company’s generosity has not only provided much-needed clothing and supplies to children in need, but has helped them gain access to essential programs, like early childhood education and literacy, that will help them succeed in school and in life.
Make sure you pick up your reusable shopping bag(s) next time you visit TJ Maxx – not only is it convenient for you, you are helping a wonderful cause!
Once again, I cannot rave enough about T.J. Maxx (and Marshall’s too). It is so hard to save money these days, and every little bit helps. I don’t know about you but I would much rather buy a few outfits at one of these stores than to buy one expensive outfit somewhere else. You can stock up for less!
