I posted recently about T.J. Maxx and Marshalls and all of the wonderful, yet inexpensive brand name items they have. I am amazed once again as I shopped for Father’s Day presents for my husband and my dad.
While looking around at T.J. Maxx, I stumbled upon so many items that they both would love, but I found just the right gift for my dad. I bought him a handsome watch, that he is going to love. One would think that the selection of watches might be limited, but it certainly was not. I found the perfect watch for him (he is rather particular about watches – as a matter-of-fact, he has a really old watch that he keeps getting repaired). I thought it was time for him to have a new one. It looks like I really splurged, but it will be our little secret that I did not!
My husband is pretty easy to shop for, thank goodness, and I found several items for him at Marshalls. A new Marshalls recently opened in our city and it is located close to everything, which is really nice. My husband loves to barbecue (and I am thrilled when he does!). I found a couple of items for him that I know he will be so excited about – a barbecue utensil set in an attractive case, and grilling sauces (these look so yummy – I wonder if he would mind barbecuing with these on Father’s Day? No, I wouldn’t make him do that!). Both presents were inexpensive, yet they were top quality. I am glad he will have his own barbecue utensil set – maybe he will leave my utensils in the kitchen now (I love you honey!).
Of course, I just had to get him some Boxer shorts. I know he loves his old comfy ones, but being the good wife I am, I kindly buy new ones for him. I found some at Marshalls that look perfect! Now, if I can just dispose of the old ones somehow – they are practically see through they are worn so thin!
You will find so much more at T.J Maxx and Marshalls than I have shown you here. As I mentioned in my “Spendervention” post, T.J. Maxx and Marshalls receive more than 10,000 new items each week! You are bound to find something you like each and every time you shop. These stores also do not believe in sales, but they do believe in offering customers an ever-changing selection on brand name family apparel at great values every day. I love that I never have to wait for a big sale (or like what happens so often at department stores – I buy something and the very next day it is advertised on sale – UGH!). I do not need to worry about clipping coupons either to take advantage of a good deal. They have good deals every single day!
I love browsing at these stores. Whether I am looking for casual wear or business attire for myself, or clothes and presents for family and friends, I never leave empty handed. I always leave with money still in my purse! I hope you will keep these stores in mind for Father’s Day and for the birthdays of the men in your life (and of course keep them in mind for your friends and children too!). You can look online to locate a TJ Maxx or a Marshalls near you. If you have trouble finding just the right gift (I highly doubt this will happen!), you can pick up a gift card or two for that hard-to-buy-for person. They will certainly be able to find something they like at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls!
