I’m a bit of a stationery lover. Yes, stationery has a place in my “pretty things” obsession. So while window shopping at Calendars.com I was delighted to see so many fantastic gifts to add to my “please buy this for me” list. It’s no wonder Calendars.com is one of the largest gift sites on the web.
I recently chose two gifts from Calendars.com to check out. One for The Mister and the one for myself.

My Dad His Stories. His Words Journal {$9.99}
I cannot think of a better gift to give your husband, but ultimately your children. This interview journal, while simple in its design and concept, is brilliant. I showed The Mister and his eyes lit up…
The Mister’s Thoughts:
Oh, man is this cool! The questions are relevant and evocative. I’m actually going to start on this tonight.

I know our children with love reading this journal many times over. To read his thoughts, his account on events in his life… It is truly special.

Book of Days Undated Planner {$22}
This dateless planner seems to have been made for me. I stink at planners. Anytime someone says, “get your planner, let’s find a date to get together…” I just blink. Believe it or not, I am not the planner carrying type. For two reasons. First, if I don’t have an eventful month it seems like a waste {to use/have/carry said planner}. Second, I find planners to be, generally speaking, not appealing in any sense.

This beautifully designed undated planner piqued my interest immediately. I appreciate each lovely PAPAYA! design element and the inspiring quotes. I like that this planner is not as rigid as typical planners tend to be and that this equally serves as a journal… I can jot down the day’s events that were special to me; whether it be kid quotes or silly snippets from our day. There is plenty of room to stash memorable moments along with appointments and important dates. This planner includes: a year plan page, 13 month-at-a-glance pages, 52 weekly plan pages, and 126 journal pages.

I didn’t know they carried more than just calendars! I love the Dad Journal too. I did one similar to that for my son and gave it to him as a gift. He just loved it and maybe one day my grandkids will too!
I love that idea of Dad’s stories!
My Dad passed away and we buried him today. I wish I had the book My Dad , his stories his words Journal filled out by him so we could of shared it today. It’s such a wonderful idea.
I’m like you I’ve never even thought of using a planner, but this is a great idea!
