Centrix Q-Zone Lightweight Dryer Review

December 10, 2013 by Sky 12 Comments

It’s a must that I blow dry my hair every day.  Yes, every single day!  I have parts that are curly and others that won’t curl to save my life.  If I don’t blow dry my hair, it ain’t pretty!  Because I dry my hair everyday, it’s absolutely imperative that I have a high-quality dryer that doesn’t damage my hair.

Centrix

I had the chance to try out the Centrix Q-Zone Lightweight Dryer made by Cricket and it’s changed my life!  Okay, maybe I’m being dramatic but I’ve noticed a change in my hair.

The Centrix Q-Zone Lightweight Dryer is light-weight.  Super-duper light-weight. It weighs in at only 1.6 lbs.  It dries hair in half the time due to the ceramic tourmaline and ionic technologies (you know, that science stuff that makes our hair silky, shiny and beautiful.  Not dry and brittle.) and with an attachment,  the 50 MPH airspeed.  There are three heat and dryer settings as well as a cool shot button.  Perhaps my favorite thing about this dryer…it’s quiet.  My, oh my!  It’s so quiet!

Centrix

Paige has really thick hair and she’s not a fan of having it dried but I noticed that she didn’t fuss nearly as much with the Centrix Q-Zone Lightweight Dryer for several reasons – first and foremost because it’s quieter.  There isn’t that super loud whining sound from other dryers.  That girl is sensitive to sound.  It took around 10 minutes to dry her hair…which is remarkable considering it usually takes 20 to 25 minutes.  I like the 8’ cord, it’s very generous and doesn’t restrict me to any particular area.  Super handy considering its easiest to distract her with the TV and with a long cord I’m not asking her to scoot around for every section of hair.

Attachments

It’s comes with plenty of extras – a Q-Zone Power Booster 2 to increase air flow speed up to an additional 50MPH, plus Diffuser, Concentrator and Straightening Pick attachments.

The Centrix Q-Zone Lightweight hair dryer retails for $169.95 and is available on Amazon.

Just for the holidays, Cricket is offering an Amped Up Sparkle Teasing Brush for $5.00!  The boar/nylon mixed level bristles help to create various degrees of volume and style.  It’s a great stocking stuffer!

Nice! Luv gets pretty vocal when I dry her hair – she doesn’t like loud sounds at all. Nice to know this dryer is fairly quiet 🙂

My fiance would really like this dryer. I like that it is very lightweight so it wouldn’t wear out her arms while drying her hair. Thanks for the info.

Holy Bee Hive Batman. 50 MPH dryer speed? Well, I know a daughter who really needs this. Her hair is 2 ft long and she has no dryer the past 6 months. I like that it’s lightweight. I have weakness due to Lyme stroke and this would be great for me too! Thanks!

You don’t know how bad I wish I could afford that dryer. My fibro and arthritis have gotten so bad I can barely hold mine to do my hair. Oh well ~ maybe the price will get a little more reasonable.

I was right there with you until I got to the “retails for $169.95” part. Ouch! Not that I wouldn’t enjoy a high-end dryer that works exceptionally well, but that’s so far out of my budget that I can’t even hear it calling my name. 😉
