My daughter is almost 16-years old, and over the past few years she has tried several products for acne. Although her complexion isn’t terrible, it still causes irritation and embarrassment when she does break out. One type of acne product she hadn’t tried, however, was an automatic dispenser!
Clearasil PerfectaWash Automatic Face Wash is something new, and honestly, pretty darned neat. My daughter and I were both excited to receive this, as it is completely different from anything else we’ve seen for the treatment of acne. Clearasil has been around forever (and I remember using it religiously when I was a teen!), so we already knew that this new face wash would be effective. What we didn’t really think about though was how thoroughly it can be used, since it is hands free! My daughter can use both hands to apply PerfectaWash on her face and rub it in thoroughly.
We set up our Clearasil PerfectaWash Automatic Face Wash, first with the Superfruit Splash container. When I first saw the box, I had hoped that setting it up wouldn’t be difficult (I am not very good at assembling things). It was a breeze to get it up and running – we simply pulled the little tab, added the refill container and swiped our hands underneath the “nozzle”. After it is set up, there is no need to push or pull any levers – it is ready to go just by waving your hand under the spout. Oh…and batteries are included!
Recommended usage:
- Recommended twice daily
- Wet face and hold hand under dispenser for the perfect dose of facial wash
- Lather wash between hands and gently massage face with fingertips for 30 seconds
- Rinse with warm water and pat dry
The Superfruit Splash has a nice, light, fruit scent. My daughter was really happy about this, as many other products have that medicine smell, which is just…yuck.
I let my daughter load the Soothing Plan Extracts cartridge, just to make sure it was something she could do on her own, and she had no trouble at all. She likes this refill as well. It doesn’t have much of a scent, which is nice for those who prefer to wash their face without a fruity smell.
The Clearasil PerfectaWash Automatic Face Wash system is attractive enough to leave out on a bathroom counter, which makes me happy. It is well constructed and I think it is going to last us a long time – we will just buy refills when these run out.
My daughter has been diligent in using the face wash, and although it is very effective, it does not leave her skin dry and flaky. She has experienced major dryness with a few other brands, and was relieved to find that this leaves her face soft and clean feeling. Her face has been really clear since she has been using PerfectaWash (we actually noticed results pretty quickly). This is such an easy system to use, and one that doesn’t take much time out of her busy teenage life!
Recommended usage is twice a day. The dispenser will release just the right amount of product each time – which should give you about 50 uses per refill.

Now that is cool. Kids have a tendency to use too much of everything, so I like that it dispenses the same amount every time. I also think having it out on the counter is a great reminder to use it.
Wow, such a great idea. Truly great and the coupons are nice!
