Up for review today is the Dinosaur Train Make A Match Game by Pressman Toy! I was very excited to review this product. My son loves Dinosaur Train, although he is only two he still had fun playing.
In DINOSAUR TRAIN, young viewers join Buddy and his adoptive family of Pteranodons on whimsical adventures through prehistoric jungles, swamps, volcanoes and oceans as they unearth basic concepts in natural science, natural history and paleontology. The Dinosaur Train is a colorful locomotive, customized to accommodate all kinds of dinosaurs, and it has the ability to visit the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous worlds, while the Train’s Conductor, a knowledgeable Troodon, provides passengers with fascinating facts along the way.
How to play:
In the Dinosaur Train Make A Match game, Buddy and his friends sharpen children’s memory skills in this special matching game that features a Buddy figure! To begin play, 48 game cards featuring favorite Dinosaurs from Dinosaur Train are shuffled and laid face down in 6 rows of 8 cards each. Players take turns turning over any two cards—so all players can see them—to find a matching pair. The game features “Take Buddy” cards, “Wild Cards” and “Lose a Pair” cards to add to the excitement. The Buddy figurine they give you is part of the game too! You get to (politely) snatch buddy! Players count their matching card sets at the end and add extra points for the player holding Buddy to determine who wins.
How we played:
I reduced the number of cards to twelve and helped him find a match. His favorite find was the Buddy card, of course!
What I thought:
It was nice that they included a small Buddy figurine with the game. I loved the game! Definitely one we will play over and over again!
The Dinosaur Train Make A Match Game is for 2 to 4 players, ages 3 to 6, and is available at Toys “R” Us stores nationwide for just $9.99. Dinosaur Train Make a Match with Figure is also available at Amazon.com for only $7.98!
