McDonald’s is rolling out big changes very soon that will make their menu items even tastier! This means we need more ways to pay for their yummy treats , but does McDonald’s accept Cash App? Yes, here are 5 things you need to know.

Does McDonald's take cash app

1. Get Your Cash App Visa Card

This will make your life much easier and allow you to easily make payments wherever VISA cards are accepted. You can spend your Cash App balance at McDonald’s just as easy as using a debit card.

To get your Cash App Card, simply go into your app and hit the icon that looks like a card. From there you will be asked if you want to be sent a Cash App Card.

Anyone over the age of 13 can receive a Cash App card and it’s free to receive and use. You can customize your Cash App Card or choose from different colors. You can even draw your own design.

You should receive your card within 5-7 business days and it will be ready to use at McDonald’s restaurants.

2. Use The McDonald’s App

Your McDonald’s App is one of the best places to use Cash App because it’s very convenient and super easy to add it as a payment option. Because your Cash App card is a Visa, you can add it as a regular payment by entering the card numbers on the back along with the expiration date and the security code.

Now, whenever anyone sends you a Cash App payment, you can head over to buy delicious and iconic menu items from McDonald’s like The Big Mac, Chicken McNuggets, and The Quarter Pounder with Cheese.

McDonald’s will upgrading their burgers and other menu items soon so be on the lookout for that!

3. Link Cash App Card To More Payment Options

Another trick you can use to make fast payments at McDonald’s checkout is to link the Cash App card to other payment options on your smart phone. Add your Cash App card as a payment option for your Apple Pay or Google Pay options. This way, you can leave your Cash App card at home.

Apple Pay and Google Pay are extremely fast and convenient and they are designed to prevent unauthorized use of your money.

4. Why McDonald’s Won’t Take Direct Cash App Payments

McDonald’s won’t be accepting direct Cash App payments anytime soon because of how our banking system is structured. Most businesses around the world only accept payments processed through VISA or Mastercard. These are the most profitable companies on the planet that are trusted sources for  processing payments for big merchants. Most if not all financial institutions process payments through these trusted companies for a fee.

Peer to peer payments do not have these fees because we would not use them. You can send money to friends and family directly via Paypal, Venmo, Cash App and the like without any fees.

5. Visa and Mastercard Track All The Data For Banks

Visa and Mastercard are technology companies that issue credit and debit cards for banks. They make money by providing data tracking to banks like Paypal, Cash App, and Bank of America for example. They make money by charging the banks for processing fees for using their data tracking and authorization processes.

Visa and Mastercard represent TRUST in the banking industry.

Conclusion

I hope things didn’t get too technical, but it’s important to understand why most of the plastic in your wallet or purse have only one of two of these logos and why McDonald’s won’t take direct payments without the backing of VISA or Mastercard. We explained how does McDonald’s take Cash App and how you can use it.

Your Cash App card that you’ll receive will have a Visa logo so that you can use it wherever Visa is accepted like McDonald’s or anywhere!
