Dog Vacay

Sometimes a product or service arrives on the “scene” and the first thought that pops into my head is “Genius!”. This is exactly how I felt when I heard about DogVacay. What a brilliant concept for pet owners and pet lovers alike. Let me explain.

Here is a really cute video that explains a little more, how DogVacay works (and one lady who is a sitter!):

I absolutely love this idea, and knowing that your special furry friend is in good hands while you are away, or on vacation, offers peace of mind. Not only will you and/or your family be enjoying a much needed vacation, your pet will also be having a fun vacation of their own. You can rest assured that your dog is being entertained, walked, and receiving much love, as the sitters are screened to make sure they are a perfect fit. What is really neat is that you will receive a picture of your pup daily, to see what he/she has been up to. How cool is that? Also included is free pet insurance and twenty-four hour customer service, seven days a week!

Not only for vacations, of course, but you might enlist the help of a DogVacay sitter for family emergencies, or maybe after a new baby arrives home, while everyone is adjusting, but you don’t want to have to worry about your pet.

DogVacay is not only a better choice for your dog and for you, but for your pocketbook as well. It costs about 1/2 of what most kennels charge.

Although we currently have quite a few kitties, this is something I would love to do if I had the right setup (such as a big, fenced yard). Hopefully in a few years, I will be better equipped to become a dog sitter as well. I have so many friends with dogs and this would be absolutely perfect for them.

DogVacay has over 20,000 vetted and insured pet sitters (wow!), across North America. Ready to find the perfect sitter for your pooch? It’s easy! Simply type in your zip code to find a sitter in your neck of the woods, then schedule a meet and greet. You will then book your dog’s vacation and pay online.

What a blast it would be to become a DogVacay host! Is this something you might be interested in doing? You can click the photo below to learn more about one of the most fulfilling jobs you just might ever have, all from the comfort of your own home. Or it might just be a way to earn some “fun” money. You don’t have to be a professional dog sitter, but of course a love of dogs is helpful. When you create your profile, you will add your desired rate and you can choose which dogs you would like to sit and when, and PetVacay will do the rest!
