Easy Crab Wontons Recipe

My family loves ordering Crab Wontons (Crab Rangoon) when we eat at Chinese restaurants, so I decided to come up with my own version. These are delicious, and there are very few ingredients involved!

Mmmmmmm…..

Easy Crab Wontons

Arrange wonton wrappers on large surface, and fill a small bowl with water.  Start by dipping your finger in the water, and spreading it on the edges of the wrappers.  Put approx. 1 tsp on each wrapper (about 1/4″ in from the edge).  Fold in half and press down to remove air and seal edges.  You should now have a triangle.  Put a dab of water on one corner and gently fold up so that the two corners meet and press together tightly.  Fold over the tips and press again.

In large skillet, heat peanut oil (about 1/2″) to medium high. Gently place wontons flat side down in oil. Fry until bubbly and golden, then turn over. These don’t take long to cook, so keep a good eye on them!

  1. These look absolutely incredible! I would love to try them, but I’m allergic to peanuts and can’t use peanut oil. Would any other oil be a good substitute?

  2. I would love to make these and take them to a cocktail party. My delema is, can they be made a head of time and warmed up in micro wave or oven without them becoming soggy?

  3. Oh my gosh. I’m seven months pregnant and all i want is fried rice and cheese wontons!! This sounds fabulous.
