Everyday Healthy Values
If you are like me, you like to save money. If you are like me, you are also trying to eat healthier this year. Everyday Healthy Values is an online community that helps you do both!
I love this concept, as it can be time-consuming to wade through coupons to find just the ones you want for the healthier food options. I have also found that eating healthier is a bit more expensive than ordinary foods (especially when buying organic!). With Everyday Health, you will find coupons for healthier food options that you might not have even considered before! I have partnered with Everyday Healthy Values for the month of April, to bring you this information.
I have to admit, that although I am making an honest effort to eat healthier, I sometimes struggle with knowing what foods are the best for myself and my family. I don’t know why but it seems that everything kind of gets jumbled in my head when I try to put together a meal plan. Everyday Healthy Values has taken the guesswork out of knowing what is good and not-so-good, with their handy, printable coupons on Coupons.com!
Here is an example of a couple of healthy coupons that are currently available:
Did you know that April is Stress Awareness Month? Â We all tend to get stressed throughout the year, but I know that I will be extra stressed out with our taxes looming. Â I have a feeling I am not alone in feeling stressed out right now, and this is when overeating comes into play for me. Â Since it is Stress Awareness Month, it is a great time to be aware of events that are causing you stress, and to recognize the signs that you might be “stress eating” instead of eating because you are actually hungry.
Everyday Healthy Values suggests that you keep a journal for a couple of weeks and write down what you ate, the time of day, and how you were feeling right before you ate. Â Were you sad? Mad? Stressed? Â Write it all down and you might surprise yourself with what triggered you to eat during emotional/stressful times.
Check back on April 22nd, when I will share with you how small changes can make a big difference, when it comes to your eating habits.

That’s an interesting idea to write down when you eat, what you eat, and why you were eating. I bet my pattern would be because I’m stressed!
I am very well aware of my stress – usually something at work wakes me up at 4am with worry and I rush to my laptop to shoot off an email or five. Going from managing a department of 3 to a department of 30 is very stressful!!
Wow – I’ll say! I guess your stress level is through the roof!
Stress is definitely a problem for me—and it needs to be addressed. Thanks for sharing all the resources!
I am so trying to eat better an going to start walking more It helped my stress before I jsut got to get motivated to walk again
I like the idea of the food journal. Thanks for the suggestion. When I buy food, I always check to make sure it has no or very little trans and saturated fats.
Whenever I keep a food journal, I eat less.
I track my food intake for Weight Watchers, but not my stress levels .. definitely need to do that!
Stress eating is a big thing for me. Now that it is getting warmer outside exercising is looking good
Every emotion makes me eat, stress, frustration….heck I even eat when I ‘m happy. You know, something good happens and I just have to celebrate with some cake, lol
Also, stress might cause less sleep and sleep deprivation causes hunger… especially carb cravings for extra energy!
a great idea to keep track of what you eat-I have been doing that because certain foods trigger a migraine with me
The journal sounds like a great idea ~ but I don’t think I would keep up with it honestly. If stress or some other emotion makes me eat I surely don’t feel like writing it down. I wish I would ~ I could try I guess. Look forward to your post tomorrow!
I had no idea that April was Stress Awareness Month! I love the Hunger Signals information. Thanks for Sharing.
It’s nice to see a health insurance company that is helping us eat healthier.
There are only 5 weeks of school left and as a teacher my stress level is through the roof!! I was doing so well, but now I just want to eat and eat!! Need to keep that journal!! 🙂
I didn’t know it was Stress Awareness month, but I definitely feel more stress this month than any other.
Try to watch what I eat hard like so many snacks but I do have at least one a day
I like it when I find healthy food coupons.

I’m always stressed. Bad relationship, wine… it’s not good. I need to get my life back together.
That looks like a good program. I’ll have to check it out.
