Favorite iPhone Apps – what are yours?

I am in love with my iPhone!  I have fun scrolling through the various apps to see what might be entertaining or useful for me.  I thought I would share my current favorites with you, and I would love to hear about your favorites too!

WORDS WITH FRIENDS:
Fun iPhone appsThis is a super fun game where you can play with other iPhone users.  I currently play with my husband and my good friend Andrea.  It is like a scrabble game that you can play across the miles!  There is a free version and also a paid version (I think it’s $1.99).  You can play with users you know by searching their user name, or you can choose a random opponent.  It is quite addictive!  If you happen to play this, look me up – my user name is “speedyjen”

RED LASER:
This is a really neat app. If you like to find good deals while shopping (and who doesn’t right?), this is a must have app.  It is a universal bar code scanner.  You just use the scanner on your iphone, scan the barcode of a product you are looking at in the store, and it will pull up the same product at nearby stores and list the prices.  You just might find that must-have product cheaper somewhere else! This app costs .99

SCANNER 911:
When my husband worked the graveyard shift, I remember listening to the scanner constantly. It was scary at times, but also very interesting. I was thrilled when I discovered that there is a scanner app for the iPhone!  You can listen to live action across the U.S. There are quite a few cities listed, broken down by state.  Check it out to see if cities near you are on the list – it is quite informative!  This app costs $1.99

TMZ:
I like to know what is going on in the celebrity world, and the TMZ app has the latest news and information.  I find myself checking in daily just to keep abreast of recent news in Hollywood.  There are videos you can watch too, as well as a photo section. This app is free.

PHOTOGENE:
When I take pictures on my iPhone, sometimes I want to crop them and/or decorate them a bit. Photogene makes it super easy to do this.  Simply load an existing picture, or snap a new one.  You can crop, add frames, speech bubbles and more. I also like how you can find tune the colors, blur a photo, and add other special effects. App costs $1.99 but is so worth it to me.

All of the above apps can be found at the itunes store!

I am always on the lookout for fun and useful apps.  What are your favorite apps?
