Feedburner alternatives
Most of the blogosphere is panicked because rumor has it that Feedburner is shutting down. I have used their service since I started my blog, and now I am slightly lost.
I have been scouring the internet looking for Feedburner alternatives, and here are a few options I am looking into:
RSS Feed services:
Feedblitz
Feedity (this one looks pretty expensive)
Rapidfeeds (starts at $13.95/month)
RevResponse
Newsletters:
MailChimp
Nourish
Sparklit
RSS feeds have always confused the heck out of me, and this is something I do not look forward to at all. Are you as confused as I am by all of the options?
As a blogger, what have you decided to do? Β Do you have any services to add to the lists above?
As a reader, do you mind if bloggers switch to a newsletter format for feeds?
What Feedburner alternative are you thinking about?

I had no clue that Feedburner was shutting down! I’ve tried MailChimp but I am utterly confused. I know I will eventually find something.
I haven’t yet tried Mail Chimp, but now I am scared! LOL. I am really going to investigate all of these to make sure I am making the right choice for both myself and my readers. Good luck!
Might want to read this…..looks like feedburner will still be around

I get a newsletter from a Feedblitz blog and the layout annoys me. I hope they don’t shut down Feedburner – it is my favorite layout! Guess I’ll have to investigate with you! RSS confuses the heck out of me, too π
The FeedBlitz layout is customizable. If you want to switch over, you can brand it any way you want so your readers get it just the way you want it.
Here’s a part of the answer to your other questions
1) Feeds are still currently being served by Feedburner, it’s just the counter that is broken
2) We donβt know whether this zero subscribers issue is temporary or not
3) The API is being shut down Oct 20th this is not the feed delivery service, just the API.
I work for FeedBlitz and we’d be happy to assist you with any support you need to migrate your feed and your email subscribers.

I know – I wish Feedburner would just continue. There seems to be a lot of confusion about if it will shut down or not. Oh, and I know what you mean – RSS is horrible. I just don’t get it really!
I wonder if this is the reasin that suddenly all of my regular emails that I’m subscribed to haven’t been showing up. Hmmm…Now it’s the beginning of the month and suddenly..BAM! They’re all back. Who knows?
All of this definitely confuses me! I just go along with the flow and it seems that everything I’m subscribed to has been showing up.
I still have feedburner but man I have to really get focused to change it up … it’s not easy to do for me.
Hi Cindy told me to stop by and check out your blog. Wow, a lot of stuff to look at . I am very new to this, not sure how to do certain things… like changing the darn thumbnail picture connected to my blog when its shared on FB. I wasn’t thinking clearly when I created it. Now, I can’t seem to change it. I’ve even deleted the picture.. its still there. Other than that, I am having fun! Hope you stop by and check mine out. π Carla (Nice to meet you)
Hello Carla! It’s nice to meet you – and congrats on your new blog! If you want to email me, maybe I can help you with the thumbnail π
