* Clnli has compensated me to promote the upcoming launch of their app. While this is a sponsored post, all opinions are my own.
Public restrooms are a necessary evil, aren’t they? Some are clean and tidy while others look like they come straight out of a horror movie. Chances are, you’ll stop at the closest gas station or burger joint just to alleviate bladders. You hope that the bathroom is a nice one; with toilet seat liners and toilet paper stocked, and a changing table that works. The basics.
How many times have you ushered your child into the stall, hoisted them on the toilet seat, and then noticed “For a good time call…” and other lovely messages scribbled all over the walls. At this point you’re hoping and praying your little bookworm doesn’t take notice and finishes doing their business. *raises hand*
Glancing around; I notice dirty grout, grimy soap scum in the sink, toilet paper on the wet floor, cobwebs on the ceiling. By the time the toilet is flushed, my OCD kicks into high gear. We wash our hands several times. I use a paper towel to turn off the water and open the door. That’s my system, but I make a mental note to not visit this restroom again.
It’s Time to Stop Settling for Public Restrooms!
What if you knew ahead of time that the restroom in the café off Main Street had a changing table in both the men’s and women’s bathrooms?
Clnli is a handy smartphone app that works with store owners who proudly tout their clean bathrooms exclusively with the clnli network, leading you straight to the best bathrooms around! Simply launch the clnli app, filter according to your criteria {if you need a changing table, for example}, and clnli will give you directions depending on your choice!
I could see clnli being especially useful when you are on a road trip or vacationing some place new. The last thing you want to worry about is the state of the bathroom you stop at. With clnli you’re set to have a clean, comfortable bathroom to use where ever your journey takes you! Best of all, clnli has two payment options; either select the low monthly payment or the pay per use.
Clnli is in development, so be sure to visit www.cln.li to sign up and the developers will let you know when the app is live!

I would LOVE to have this app! I hate using public bathrooms the way it is but sometimes you gotta go. I’ve become the queen of hovering so I don’t have to touch the seat, I always carry antibacterial gel, and never touch anything with my bare hands. Public bathrooms are the worst!!
Sweet app!! Had no clue about this but it is an awesome tool!
this is wonderful! my mom and i went on a long trip and had to stop at a terrible rest stop. this app would have been so valuable!!
This is a very unique app! I would have never thought that a network of clean bathrooms was available to travelers. Great idea.
LOVE THE IDEA!
I really like this app because I am sick and tired of going into dirty bathrooms and coming out feeling like I am all dirty. I like that I can get this app and find out where I am at where there is a clean toilet!
Now this is a first hearing of an app like this but I like the idea. Especially had I had one like this for when the kids were babies. Nasty bathrooms make me sick, I just turn around and walk out…cannot use them
wow, there really is an app for everything 🙂
Ha! Yes, it seems there is 😉
Sounds interesting and useful!
It’s interesting and very useful, but I would not pay for it. When I gotta go, I have supplies with me, just in case…
i hate public bathrooms but this app is cool
Great idea!!! Would useful and helpful.
This app would come in handy for people with children especially! The kids touch everything and knowing it is a bad bathroom, would save us so much time!
What a great app idea! I’m one that will definitely alter my plans if I know a public restroom is a lot cleaner than others.
this is great for going out of town. love that there is an app for this!! wish i had this sooner
I have been in some of those rest rooms and have left in a hurry dragging my kids behind me. I am not sure about the app, but we certainly need cleaner safer restrooms.
OMG this is the best app ever! There have been times I have waited until I got home because of some scary restrooms. My mom would have loved this when we were kids.
That app is a must! Its about time!
That would be great for trips.I hate most public restrooms!
How smart is that! I know my famly would sure be using this. We seem to always be on the road and needing a restroom!
Great idea! This would be a wonderful app on road trips!! 🙂
Wish I had thought up this app – what a great idea! Thanks for sharing!
what a gREAT app!! i need to download this.
Hi everybody! My name is Vince, and I’m the creator of clnli. It’s great to see so many supportive comments. The goal of clnli is to bring you a little piece of home wherever you are for however long you need it.
I wanted to let everyone know that clnli is running a special promotion for people who reserve their spot now for the clnli launch. For the cost of two months of clnli (just $20), you’ll get six months of clnli when it launches (worth $60). Not only that, your $20 will be fully refundable between now and when clnli launches and also fully refundable during the first month of service.
Reserve your spot at http://www.cln.li, and I’ll make sure to send you the special offer personally.
Thanks!
This sounds like a wonderful app., having this app would certainly beat waiting until I get home to use the bathroom.
wow best app ever ! i hate finding a disgusting dirty bathroom….
I absolutely despise using public restrooms so I try to avoid it at all costs, but this is such a great idea! I could definitely make use of this app. Thank you for sharing!
NO WAY! I think I’d use this. For me right now am dealing with a wheel chair, hopefully not for my whole life but this is REALLY something I’d like. Plus we have little one with us and going to travel in the Spring and I know those driving will need many stops with little ones. Thanks for the ups on this!
Oh wow – this is a really cool concept. I have probably had the misfortune of trying to scout out a bathroom and not finding something suitable a couple of times. Sometimes, places that you least expect have a really clean bathroom too.
This is a really neat idea. I am a guy, but I hate having to use a public restroom since they are almost always really nasty and stinky. I am diabetic and have to use the restroom a lot more often than most people so when we are out of the house, I usually have to ‘go’. Thanks for the info on the app and I hope that there are a lot of store and business owners sign up with the service and keep their restrooms clean enough to warrant being listed.
This is a great idea for an app, the problem will be finding a lot of great bathrooms! I’ve seen so many that are not kept up. They may be basically clean, but no one is monitoring them so there is paper all over the floor and empty tp rolls, no soap, etc. I’ve seen some bathrooms that have a checklist on the back of the door, where an employee has to initial it hourly that it was checked for supplies, cleanliness, etc. I hope the app also lists ones that are not just clean, but monitored as well.
I don’t travel much, but I know all the best places for rest stops where I’m usually out and about. With kids, I imagine this app would be really useful, though.
I have to agree, this is a good app when you’re traveling with your family. Usually, by the time somebody announces that he or she needs to go, there’s no time to waste.
There are times when it cannot be helped, but I avoid public restrooms whenever possible. I wish I had had this app when my son was little. I would definitely use this if I was traveling!
That is just genius!
Great app idea! I’ve been in some truly horrendous restrooms, real horror shows!
This app would help me steer clear.
OMG Why didn’t I think of that?!
Imust get this app. Nothing that drives me crazy is a dirty restroom.
Awesome app!
This is great!
