I love products for kids that make them think – products that are not just regular toys, but things they can learn from. Science and chemistry is fascinating to most kids, and we recently discovered a place that has science and chemistry kits for kids. My daughter loves science, so when we were offered the Steve Spangler Science Glow Chemistry Kit for review for the gift guide, my daughter and I were both really excited.

To begin her science experiments, my daughter first grabbed the lid of a big cardboard box {at my suggestion – it’s a mom thing}, and put all of the kit’s components in the box and read the directions. We were impressed how the instructions were not only easy to understand, but they were funny! They spelled out why things work the way they do, which is important. My daughter first made “worms” by mixing one of the solutions with water and the little white crystals.
I have to admit, I was fascinated. We laughed and “ewwwed” at the slimy worms, but it was really fun! After she made the worms, she moved onto the second project, which was slime. She mixed the needed ingredients in the shaker jar {included} and after shaking for a few minutes, she had slime!
Steve Spangler loves stuff that glows, and with the Glow Chemistry Kit you’ll get to experiment with two of his favorite glow activities. Try mixing up your own batch of Atomic Slime.
