Hampton Hotel,2013 Women’s Choice Awards

Have I got some exciting news for you! Hampton Hotels was recently named  a winner in the 2013 Women’s Choice Awards! I am thrilled to be the one of the first to tell you (it was announced September 17th) about this amazing achievement! This was awarded by WomenCertified, which makes it extra special to me. You see, WomenCertified is the leading advocate for female consumers. I think most of my readers will also appreciate this fact too!

Hampton Hotels received the award for America’s Best in Travel in the Midscale Hotel category. This includes Overall Service, Romantic Getaways, and Family Travel.

WomenCertified awards businesses and brands based on consumer experience and their propensity to recommend the brand, product or service. The brands are awarded the “America’s Best” in their category and may carry the Women’s Choice Award seal. Alternatively a brand may earn the Women’s Choice Award through a customer survey where they must achieve a 9 out of 10 recommendation rating to qualify.

Hampton received the award for America’s Best in Travel in the Midscale Hotel category for Overall Service, Romantic Getaways, and Family Travel.  How was Hampton Hotels chosen for this award?  A survey of 1,300 women, (consumers and travel agents), were asked to select the brands they would most highly recommend.

Although I have never stayed at a Hampton Hotel, this really makes me want to, and I will be looking for one next time I travel.   I am big about creature comforts – at home and away from home – and it sounds like Hampton Hotels has it covered!

  1. The most important things are having a clean room ad bathroom where I feel safe from crime or any bad happenings or problems.

  2. Tell me in a comment: What is most important to you when staying in a hotel.

staying away from the high priced mini bar,but they get you in the ned

  3. The most important thing to me about hotels and their rooms is cleanliness. Friendly customer service is a plus, too.

  4. I want a clean room and great service when dealing with the staff. Location is important, but cleanliness and service are more important!

  5. I like when the hotel is basically the same no matter where in the country I stay. That brings me peace because I know what to expect!

  6. A few things about a hotel stay- SECURE rooms! No “motelish” cheap non good locking doors! CLEAN! Soft beds, lots of GOOD pillows.

  7. The most important thing to me is cleanliness. I have asthma and allergies, and if it isn’t clean, I won’t have a good time.

  8. Cleanliness – I don’t care about whether they have a restaurant, free breakfast, pool – if it’s clean, then I’m okay.

  9. It is of course important to me that the room be clean, but secondly I hate to pay for extras. I think that it is unfair when a hotel with plenty of parking charges me to park at the facility.

  10. The most important thing to me when staying in a hotel is that the hotel, and more importantly, the rooms are clean.

  11. THe most important thing to me and my family is is the hotel/motel clean including the bathroom, linens, odors and the like. Are they friendly on check in or do you seem to be a bother to them. and reliability.

  12. A free breakfast and cleanliness. We just stayed at a hampton inn this summer and it exceeded our expectations, and the free breakfast was great, we would be happy to stay at one again.

  13. When I am staying at a hotel it is most important that the room be clean and smoke free. It is also important to have certain amenities such as continental breakfast, exercise room and a wide variety of cable channels.

  14. Far and above any other consideration, our family demands cleanliness. Between my allergies and the general yuck factor – we can do without almost anything else. Hampton is always our first choice.

  15. Considering the amount of people who go through hotels, I would say the most important is that the rooms are cleaned and disinfected right, the beds made over completely…including changing out the bedspreads, and the other thing would just be simply that all modern conveniences that are offered are WORKING…such as heat or air, refridge and microwave, shower and toilet perform right, etc. WE have been in some that are not kept up and have left.

  16. Most important thing is that they allow pets! Even if I have to pay extra, I don’t mind, but I never travel without my dog!

  17. Price! It’s hard enough saving up just to pay for the bus or plane tickets. I don’t want to spend just as much on a bed to sleep on! I want the majority of my trip money to be on having fun with my family and not paying for a room I only sleep in 🙂

  18. The most important thing is that the hotel have a good rating as far as being clean, then the next important thing is that it is kid friendly!

  19. Seriously clean sheets. First thing I do is rip of the comforter to look at the sheets underneath it. Countless times I found body hair from where the sheets clearly weren’t switched from the last guest(s). Gross!

  20. Comfortable beds and cleanliness are essential, but oh do I love having breakfast on site. It simplifies things so much when you’re traveling.

  21. Although cleanliness is important, I especially prefer smoke-free floors – not just rooms, floors – due to allergies and asthma. And since we have kids now, love indoor swimming pools. If it’s just a parents’ stay, inroom jacuzzi, please! 🙂

  22. Cleanliness is most important to me. Second is amenities, especially a continental breakfast. Thanks.

  23. i really need to feel like the sheets are clean, i also love when they have good brands for the toiletries because it makes you feel so fancy! lol

  24. There are a couple things that are important when choosing a hotel to stay at. Location is the first thing. I won’t stay at a hotel if I don’t feel that we won’t be safe of course. Next is cleanliness. I want my room to be clean! And the last thing, which has a little more “wiggle room” than the first two, is a comfy bed. While I’m sure most hotel beds will not compare to my super-comfy one, I don’t want to feel like I’m just sleeping on a board. Give me a clean room with a decent bed in a decent area and I am good to go 🙂

  25. Friendly and helpful staff is super important to me. I don’t ever want to feel like I am a burden. I also like a complimentary breakfast but it is not mandatory.

  26. /Oh’ Jennifer am I excited about this giveaway. I love Hampton Inns. With the combination of class and taffordability they are one of my very favorites. Cleanliness & afordability are very important to me. Thanks so much for hosting this giveaway. I’m already counting on it so my fall trip to the mountains can come true. lol with fingers crossed!!!

  27. Would definitely have to be cleanliness of the room and that my bed is soft and comfortable. I check out the rooms before I stay in them.

  28. These days, it’s important that the hotel will allow us to have our well-behaved dog with us without charging an arm and a let.

  29. Cleanliness of the rooms and a morning supply of coffee are what I look for. A heated indoor pool the family can enjoy all year round is always nice too 🙂

  30. It is hard to point out one thing that is most important, but comfortable and clean are the biggest, with location, amenities and price coming in close behind.

  31. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. I love when the staff is helpful and go up and beyond to make their guests happy.

  32. The most important thing to me when staying in a hotel is excellent customer service. (I’ve only stayed in a hotel three times, though.) When the staff is nice and is there when you need them, that’s the best.

  33. The most important thing to me when staying at a hotel (besides there being wifi of course, lol) is that there is a comfy bed with plenty of fluffy pillows- I know it might sound silly but sometimes when you stay at “budget” hotels you get two flat pillows and one of those wierd kinda plastic- like blankets; I never sleep well then 🙁 Never had that problem at a Hampton though 🙂

  34. The most important to me is how clean a room is. I will not stay in a room that is nasty or where the bathroom is unsanitary.

    jweezie43[at]gmail[dot]com

  35. The most important thing is cleanliness. I don’t want to see any evidence of dirt, mold, disrepair, etc. It drives me crazy and makes me think the hotel doesn’t care.

  36. When searching for a place to stay when traveling there are three things I look for.
Cleanliness, Good Customer Service and Affordable. It’s also a plus if they have continental breakfast.

  37. Having free and fast wi-fi in the room is the most important factor for me, since I’m usually working while traveling and need to stay in touch with my colleagues!

  38. My main thing is a comfortable bed. I also need a little fridge and great air conditioning. Also, it must be clean and have great security.

  39. Aside from expecting a clean and safe room, I have to have a room with more than a bed. I love to have a sofa, and at the very least, a coffee maker for the morning.

  40. I would have to say cleanliness. Someone I know recently got bed bugs, and I have been paranoid of them to the point of having nightmares.

  41. It is important to me that our entire family of 6 can be in one room or suite- with beds for everyone.

  42. It HAS to be clean. I don’t like to go on trips because I worry about how clean the hotel is. Thank you!

  43. Cleanliness is pretty important to me. After seeing so many shows with dirty hotels, I make sure to double check.

  44. The room and accessories like the bedspread being clean is most important to me when staying in a hotel.

  45. location. be that either close to the freeway, or close to our location. i love a clean hotel dont get me wrong, but if its in timbuktoo i wont be going. 😉

  46. Clean rooms, free internet and saftey would love to win this for me and my husband since we didnt get to go on our honeymoon in sept.

  47. How clean the room is. I love hotels that have a real comforter on the bed. Not one of those scratchy cover.

  48. Q: What is the most important thing to me when staying in a hotel.
A: I love the quiet rooms. Hopefully the food doesn’t suck.
    The bed, soft and comfy…
A big garden tub and you’ve won me!
