There is nothing like a big bowl of popcorn, am I right? Well perhaps there is – a big bowl of popcorn with toppings! Kernel Season’s has done it again, they have come up with even more delicious flavors that can be sprinkled right on popcorn. You will never get bored with all of these choices!

I was sent a huge assortment of products for review from Kernel Season’s, so I decided to have a “tasting party” with my daughter and her friend. Teenagers are pretty honest, so I thought who better to give me the low-down on the different flavors.

The girls were kind of surprised that there were sweet flavorings, as they had previously only heard of cheese and Ranch toppings for popcorn.  We started with the “cheesy” type flavorings first, and saved the sweeter ones for more of a dessert.  I popped a huge bowl of Kernel Season’s Popping Corn, and carried it out to the table under the gazebo, along with the butter spray flavoring, plates & napkins and something to drink to cleanse their palates between tastings.

The girls were anxious to get started, so they grabbed a handful of popcorn and began with the cheese flavors. They spritzed the popcorn on their popcorn before sprinkling the flavors on.

The “cheesy” flavors we received were Nacho Cheese, White Cheddar, Ranch, Garlic Parmesan and Bacon Cheddar.    The White Cheddar was their favorite, followed by the Ranch, Garlic Parmesan, and finally the Nacho Cheese.  They weren’t too crazy about the Nacho Cheddar but did love the other three, and even mentioned that they would be REALLY good on baked potatoes too!  I can see adding the Garlic Parmesan or Ranch to meatloaf or hamburgers to spice them up a bit. YUM!

They also enjoyed most of the sweet flavors.  Their favorite was the Kettle Corn (how neat is this, to be able to have Kettle Corn at home!), and the least favorite was the Caramel.

I asked the girls their final thoughts, and they both said that they love the idea of getting so many flavor options and that it is like getting different snacks at one sitting, without having to feel guilty because they ate a bunch of different, possibly unhealthy snacks.  Interesting…and I concur!

What were my favorites?  I think I would have to say that the White Cheddar was also my favorite, closely followed by the Garlic Parmesan and Bacon Cheddar.  From the sweeter flavors, the Kettle Corn was definitely my favorite.  I have made several batches of the Kernel Season’s popcorn that was sent, and it produces big and tasty pieces of popcorn.  Who knew that there was such a difference in popcorn kernels?  The Movie Theater Butter topping is SO good and tastes exactly like popcorn from the movies. I have tried several brands before, but none have come as close as this.

I feel good knowing that when the kids come home from school, and want a little something to snack on, I can offer them popcorn.  Not only does it taste good, but rich in antioxidants, protein and fiber! Kernel Season’s popcorn toppings/sprinkles are gluten-free (certified by the Gluten Free Certification Organization), and they are also certified Kosher!

You can purchase Kernel Season’s online and they are also available in stores. The shelf life is 18 months (but I’m not sure they will last that long in our house!).

  57. I would love to hove some of the Sour Cream and Onion – retro flavor and the Bacon Cheddar Seasoning. I found that these are sold at our neighborhood Homeland stores

  114. the butter!! from the south me and my baby girl love butter!! we eat it by the spoon at times..i always say butter,ketchup and salt can make anything taste good lol but i really like to try the ranch and the other flavors. we are picky eaters here so it is hard when money is tight to buy new things not knowing if we will like it or not.that is why i like to get free samples and to enter to win things..that way if we like it we will buy it! thank you for chance to win and try this!!

  149. Even though the girls said that the Bacon Cheddar wasnt their favorite I’d still really like to give it a try- I cant turn down trying anything bacon related lol but they do all sound really yummy 🙂

  150. My favorite flavor is the white cheddar from Kernel Seasons Popcorn Seasoning but I would love to try some of the other flavors.
