Show Us Your Scream Contest
I don’t know about you, but when I see a bug I scream like a young school girl. Insects make my skin crawl and I just really, really dislike them. I even check my bed thoroughly before hopping in each night. My whole bed-checking routine takes about 10 minutes, as I peel each sheet and blanket back while inspecting for bugs. Strange? Perhaps, but it helps me sleep better at night 🙂
I never thought that screaming over bugs (or running away!) might have its perks, but the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) is celebrating us screamers with a fun contest! It’s the PestWorld “Show Us Your Scream” contest.
Entering the Show Us Your Scream Contest is fun (and easy)! Simply upload a video or photo of you screaming, shrieking, shouting, or reacting to seeing a creepy-crawler. Enter your submission on the PestWorld Facebook page (click contest tab).
So what is the reward for showing the world your reaction to pests? One grand prize winner will be awarded a day of scream-inducing fun with a FREE trip to an amusement park of their choice, valued at $4,000. Now THAT sounds fun! You can also take a look at the other amusing entries and vote for your favorites for a chance to win a $500 Visa gift card.
Submissions will be accepted through August 18, 2012, so make sure you keep your camera handy. For once, you just might be happy to see that icky bug!
