Have Fun the STEM Way with E-Blox
My kids have always loved using hands-on toys and experiments to learn more about Science. It really is the best way to show them and teach them things because they can visually see what is happening instead of just reading about it in a book.
STEM learning is so big in our schools today and I think that that is great because there are so many different careers opening up for our kids. There are so many things today that our kids have that just weren’t around for us as kids and they get to learn about it in new and exciting ways. We were sent two building block kits from E-Blox to learn about electric circuitry and my 10-year-old son was thrilled!
The first set Ryan tried was the Circuit Builder™ 115 ($32.99). This kit has 115 projects for kids to work on (some projects that are included are: Switch Controlled Flying Saucer, Siren with Red Warning Light, Touch Controlled Lamp, and Magnetic Controlled Flashing LED.) They learn STEM facts and figures like current, voltage, electricity generation and battery recycling. In order to get their projects to work, they’ll have to follow the directions and will start to notice the circuitry along the way. Kids will learn how lights, alarms, motors, switches and more work all while building fun projects. What I also love about this kit is that the bricks are compatible with other building bricks you probably already have around your house!
The other kit we received was the pARTS™ Plus Set ($43.99) which won the 2017 Creative Child Magazine Preferred Choice Award. These blocks are a lot of fun and let kids integrate electronic circuitry without wires to bundle and hide. The power block lights up the 3D circuits, has over 70 pieces and allows your kids to use their imaginations to create fun, creative structures. These blocks can also be used with other building blocks you probably already own, bringing bright lights to your already amazing builds!
